Just as
fewer Americans are even interested in driving anymore, cars are honking back, "Yea? Well we don't need you n-e-way!"
Latinos Post reports that California Governor Jerry Brown just signed off on legislation that legalizes the use of driverless cars, a technology developed by Google, on the state's highways and byways.
Senate Bill 1298 authorized the use of the vehicles beginning in 2015, but only along with certain regulations, one of which threatens to undermine the coolness of seeing such automobiles pass by on the road: the cars must include a driver behind the wheel in the off-chance that something goes wrong.
But a major argument in favor of driverless cars is that they are actually safer, says Google co-founder Sergey Brin, who maintains that, "self-driving cars are going to be far safer than human driven cars," a prediction based on the supposed elimination of human error.
