Business Insider's infographic isn't crystal clear on what owning "90% of the media" means. But other sources confirm that the big six control a large chunk of the major TV channels, newspapers, and movie studios. The graphic also claims that media ownership used to be a lot more diverse, since these six corporations now control media assets that were owned by 50 different companies in 1983.
