At least 17 Pakistanis have been killed and hundreds injured after protests against the film Innocence of Muslims turned violent on Friday - a day the Pakistani government declared a holiday called "Love for the Prophet Day." The holiday called for peaceful protests against the film, but quickly devolved into riots which burned two banks, six cinemas, five police vehicles and a KFC, according to a report by Al Jazeera.
The size of the protests have forced the Pakistani government to utilize its military to protect US and foreign missions in Islamabad, though the most violence-torn areas are in the port city of Karachi and north-western city of Peshawar, close to Pakistan's lawless tribal belt, according to the BBC.
In an effort to assuage hurt feelings, the US Embassy to Pakistan has spent $70,000 on Pakistani television ads denouncing the amateur video.
Apparently, all the former ACORN employees are now moderators at Politix! Only liberal approved messages can be left or you will be deleted as I have been on several threads! The First Amendment allows liberal, Anti-American posters only!
all need to back out of these countries and do no more for them, then maybe the good folks will get rid of the bad folks. either way stop wasting out taxes helping these folks in any way let them grow up and fend for themselves.
all this fighting over, which religion is the religion of peace. i guess it is a matter of which religion, gives up first as to who gets the peace award. somehow i do not think, it's going to be the muslems quitting first. but i think it has been a rather long time, since even alleged as christians got together to fight a religious war.
