Team Obama raised $181 million in September, their biggest fundraising month of 2012. 1.8 million people donated, of whom 567,000 were new donors. The average donation was $53, and 98% of the donations were $250 or less.
The Romney campaign hasn't released September fundraising numbers, but they may also be huge, because the campaign raised a whopping $12 million in the 48 hours after Romney's killer debate performance.
Obama's September haul easily trumps the $114 million raised in August, and brings to campaign close to raising $1 billion in total.
I have always given. But, there is always a but, now that we have Super PACs that gather more money in a day than I make in a year, I see my money I can give as a huge dip out of my bucked and a drop in the ocean compared to theirs. Super PACs have destroyed the input of the Middle Class. (That is the Real Middle Class, not Romney's myth)
And yet,...you continue to give,..even though you know that Obama really coulnt give a rats ass about you, or your piddly contruibution! Good thinking though! Your tid bit, might help Obama win! Keep donating! Michelle can use that money for another million dollar vacation! Usefull idiots that keep sending it in, help Michelle out alot!
@Jim49418 Wow, you should conciser what Old Abe said about opening your mouth. Obviously you are totally clueless about Supper PACs. To add to your cluelessness, it is Romney, not Obama that gives a rats ass about 47% of the population.
I don't donate because I truly can not afford to. I would consider it if my personal situation was better, but with the super PAC's out there throwing barrels of money at it, I really don't feel my twenty bucks makes or breaks either sides campaign.
Gave once in a primary....never again because the DNC/RNC are going to have their choice regardless of all else. That said, I'm a Romney fan but none of them need my measley contribution when compared to 'big' donors.
@youknownothing .... Obama should be ashamed to take a few dollars from lower economic persons to finance his high priced campaign. Worse than televangelists taking poor old ladies'$10 for prayer. But they want "free" birth control...how sad is this bunch of kool-aid drinkers?
@ACTSmom ...and this is how they get those small donations from people who can barely afford food...from Debbie Wasserman Shultz: "It's up to us to make sure President Obama and Democrats across the country have the resources they need to fight back -- and win. Make a donation of $5 or more."
I haven't donated before and can't say at this point that I ever will. It does amaze me how quickly and easily these CAMPAIGN FUNDS are raised when the economy is in the shape it is in.$181 Million in 30 days plus whatever Mitt Romney has gotten? Keep that up & put it towards the national debt....
Although in these times, there is always too much month at the end of the money, I have managed to donate to Romney, for the last three months. It's no huge amount by any means. I also wanted the tee shirt, house sign, flag and bumper sticker. 😜
@youknownothing you mean my part in helping to put in a president who wants to get a buncha freeloaders off the couch and out the door to work. Yep. Youbetcha! I just donated again in honor of youknownothing.😛
Yep. First time I put my money where my mouth runs. Obama needs stick to his commitment to the American people to be a one term President if he couldn't turn things around. And no despite the lefts' fantasy that he has, real numbers don't lie.
It's all about the money. I never give these people a dime that they don't take by the threat of force. I hope our country falls all the way to bottom of the food chain. Then and only then, we might stop depending on the meterosexual cowards, that run this country, from giving us just enough of their table scraps to stay comfortable and quiet.
