May 9 Aftermath v Yes, they are They are mostly done by the news media. Everyone already understands that the news people have no credibility and basically are liars. There do remain some that are still doing this for the news, not to be buddies with the White House. Post
May 8 Prime_Meridian v Yes, they are It often depends FOR WHAT PURPOSE THEY ARE BEING CONDUCTED, AND WHO IS CONDUCTING THEM that determines if they are biased or not. Post
May 8 whatheheck v Yes, they are Unless they are polling every single CITIZEN of the U.S. then of course they're biased. Post
May 8 NormalFlora v Yes, they are In any poll, one has to minimize the influence of inclusion and exclusion bias and multiple voting. Most folks I know refuse to respond to "cold call" telephone surveys, so you exclude all the people who like to keep their opinions to themselves until Election Day. Internet surveys only collect votes from people who already subscribe to that web site's political leaning, and they can easily be skewed by clearing cookies and voting again. Post
May 7 NoAmnestyEVER v Yes, they are I can't believe that only 91% answered yes. I guess the other idiots are liberals. r3 replies Post

May 8 DogLady_1 Well, if only 9% are idiot liberals, why worry about them? Or is the power of 9 liberals more than the power of 91 republicans? Post @DogLady_1
May 8 NoAmnestyEVER @DogLady_1 - Thanks for confirming that ALL liberal are idiots. Post @NoAmnestyEVER
May 8 DogLady_1 @NoAmnestyEVER - Thanks for confirming that some idiots believe that 9% of the idiot population can actually take over the entire country. Post @DogLady_1
May 5 Denizen_Kate v Yes, they are I could be wrong, but don't all polls call people on home phones/land lines? I haven't had a land line since 1998, and I'm not alone. Aside from polling only the throwbacks to the past millennium, many of them word the questions in ways that are more likely to get the answers wanted by those paying for the poll. B1 Post
May 3 TheHandsomeOne v Yes, they are Not only are they biased, they are most often insultingly stupid. You guys at politix lay out some real winners when it comes to this and need to slow some of them down and think about what you're really asking, or more rightfully, pretentiously influence people's thinking who aren't very good at doing so for themselves. BTW..... I challenge you to prove answer #5 in your quiz about Executive Orders. Post
Apr 25 marine1 v Yes, they are If you pay attention when answering a pole you will relize that a lot of questions are generalized except for the exceptions and those questions are tactfully slanted to guide your answer. Post
Feb '13 ZombieMedic v Yes, they are Just look at the polls given on this site for reference to this question. Of course they are biased, and almost always toward the Democrats. The US officially has a one-party system now. r1 reply Post
Nov '12 LibertarianMan v Yes, they are I have received several of these robo-calls they ask who you are voting for, the choices are only Republican and Democrat...a total scam. B2 Post
Nov '12 Smoovious v Yes, they are They consistently only offer 2 choices for you to answer. Even if they will accept you giving another choice some of the time, which they will write in on their paperwork in the "Other" choice, over and over again, they only say the Dem or Rep candidate's name. Any unbiased poll, should list ALL candidates, EVERY time, right up front. B1 Post
Nov '12 WHStoermer v Yes, they are Yes... Even the best polls are always stilted to the Democratic Candidate by at least 5% Post
o Oct '12 NO-BAMA v Yes, they are All you have to do is look at the sampling of who is questioned. Then take into account that the department of "racial/political" injustice is suing Republican/conservative polling outlets, due to Barry not liking their results. B3 e45 endorsed Post

Oct '12 DARSB v No, they're not Mostly no. Think about it: polling companies are paid to be right. A biased company that produces inaccurate polls is not going to be in business for long. That said, some firms do polling with less rigorous methods than others. For instance, Rasmussen is an automated poll that only calls landlines. Its sample therefore excludes people with cell phones as their primary phone - and that's typically younger people. Older people tend to be more conservative and more Republican, hence the well known GOP bias in Rasmussen's results If you really want to get into the weeds of polling strategies and methods I recommend WWW.fivethirtyeight.com, Nate Silver's uber-wonky poll ... r1 reply e8 endorsed Post
Oct '12 justanallusion v Yes, they are All political polls have the tendency to be biased towards the perspective of their authors as their wording is often canted to reflect a particular predetermined outcome that reflects their authors' political inclination regardless of the answer given. e7 endorsed Post
Oct '12 MarkJM v Yes, they are Look at who they are from, then look further into the samplings. Of course you are going to get skewed results from these nuts. B2 e4 endorsed Post
Oct '12 ir0nw0lfe v Yes, they are Of course they are. Polls never use straight data. They take the raw, or true numbers and "adjust" those numbers based on prior years' voter turnout which doesn't often hold as a true predictor of future elections. IOW, polls are guesses based on skewed data. Intentional or not, polls are usually behind the current trends that affect politics. So basically polls ate often as clueless as the candidates they predict. B1 e2 endorsed Post
Oct '12 Mose v Yes, they are Sure they are...it's all in how you ask the question, i.e.: "Have you stopped beating your dog?" You can get polls to say whatever you want to hear. e2 endorsed Post

Oct '12 Romney2012 v Yes, they are Of course they are biased! Because if they call a conservative, then they are going to be way to busy earning money to answer the phone! But a liberal is usually always around the house because they get all of their money from government! e2 endorsed Post
