Oct '12 RoyFloyd v Barack Obama We're doing better and I'd rather stay the course rather than revert back to the elitist and disastrous policy of another rich brat like W that feels entitled to the presidency because everything else was always handed to him. Straight up, you vote for Rmoney because you're rich, a self-hating working stiff with a slave mentality, or just plain stupid. B2 r8 replies Post
Oct '12 Politicskid How dare you say such prejudice remarks! You obviously haven't actually debated with any sane GOPer. And you can't directly connect the policies of two different presidents from the same party. I'm sure the Democrats will be doing their best to disconnect their candidate from the Obama Administration in 2016! Post @Politicskid
Oct '12 RoyFloyd Haven't met any sane teabaggers. At any rate, most people in fact do see Romney's economic plan as a return to W's failed trickle-down--perhaps why the ex-prez is about as welcome on the campaign trail as a pig in the temple. Oct '12 Politicskid @RoyFloyd Question: When has high taxes/ socialism really worked? NEVER. Unless a nation has tons of natural resources. When has capitalism, supported by a strong military worked? ALWAYS Even in the case of South Korea, a place with nearly zero natural resources. We need Reagan policies now. Just like in the early 80s, we aren't doing very well, and all of us would like to see an economic boom, not a stagnant economy like under Obama. Romney offers more of a boom. Obama prefer to just pay you to vote for him. Post @Politicskid
Oct '12 RoyFloyd When has high taxes and socialism worked? How about the latter half of the 20th century in every industrialized country on the planet? Want to see an economic boom, let's turn back economic policy, tax structure, wage structure, and union membership to the 50's rather than the 80's. Whaddya say, I'll call your Reagan and raise you an Ike! Post @RoyFloyd

u Oct '12 jrsinterest v Barack Obama Romney is a Big Blow HO. He is arrogant and everything is his way or the high way which makes him inaccurrate. The Right ripped AL Gore apart for changing his mind, Romney has yet to stick to one plan. We don't need a President who just wants to be RIGHT, we need accurate plans put in place to get the Middle Class back, that is what has always made this country strong. The economy has improved, but it is going to be a slow boat. IT took us 20 years to get here, it's not going to take 1 or 4 years to get back to a balanced economy. It's also going to take our Congress to cooperate with checks and balances. This isn't about them, it's about the hard working American peop... B1 r1 reply Post

I know most people don't like to hear that but that's why he won. He has no qualifications in this job what so ever. u Oct '12 Litdes v Barack Obama Romney offered little more than his typical rhetoric, and even managed to walk, head on, into a trap of his own creation. He seems incapable of processing information he has just received (even when that information is a verbal warning). u Oct '12 XLP I don't understand what people see in Obama. Has Obama even stated a policy for his second term? u Oct '12 Carl v Mitt Romney Not by a land slide, but the part where they faced off against each other over oil drilling on Fed. lands I admired Romney's tenacity in going after Obama. Obama really couldn't fight that off. That's the part that gave me to believe Romney pulled ahead. Like i said this was by no means a landslide victory, Obama did good, but not good enough to win this. I have to say it but a president needs that kind of in your face tenacity if they are going to deal with the rest of the world, when of course it's needed. There is a lot of evil out there. r3 replies Post

Oct '12 rickv @Heartbeat Thanks for that, however the question was "Who won the second presidential debate?" That's all. And I offered my opinion on the debate. I have no emotional investment in this performance and I never indicated my preference for president as one has nothing to do with the other. When they ask who my choice for president is, or who would benefit me personally if elected, perhaps then my answer would be different. In this debate I felt that the moderator interfered to the presidents detriment. Debates are more about handshakes, eye contact, and clarity. u Oct '12 Heartbeat @rickv Thank you for your reply. Everyone have their faults, and unfortunately, some are really big. Post @Heartbeat
Oct '12 rickv @Heartbeat You do seem passionate and sincere in your assessment of the president so I will offer you this. As a strategy you really wouldn't want your candidate to be 100% in the first debate because anything less in a later debate would look worse by comparison. It is widely accepted that he did lose the first debate, and whether or not you (we) feel that he won or lost in the second, I do believe we can both agree he did do much better. This is good and still leaves room to be even better the next time. Ideally one would never want to do worse in a later debate. And this would hold true no matter who the candidates are. Take Care and good luck on election day. Post @rickv
