Donald Trump's massively-hyped revelation is a total wash.

At 12.01pm Eastern Time, the casino mogul posted a YouTube video promising that if President Obama releases his passport records and college transcripts, "I will give to a charity of his choice...a check, immediately, for $5 million." Which if you're Donald Trump isn't even very much money. So, guys, BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump Lowballs the President.

Trump has been touting his "October surprise" for days, promising us "something very, very big" and putting out rumors of a bombshell. Was the president a coke dealer in college? Did Michelle once file for divorce? The latter story came from a Trump surrogate who explained, "high above the Alps my gnome has heard..." Trump may have many talents (ahem), but expectations management clearly isn't among them.

    So true.,..so true...But I don't want his 5 million big one's to go unclaimed...So I will make trump this pledge...If he gives ME the 5 million, I will show him MY College Records, from undergrad and law school...

    It is ridiculous. But he should just do it for a charity. It is no big deal. I don't get it, what is he supposed to have made bad grades or something?

    Disclaimer: I do NOT support Obama. I would rather vote for a coat rack.

    What a shock, democrats attacking Trump or anyone else who dares hold Obama accountable for something. Try addressing Trumps claims instead of idiot attacks & insults.

    @commonsense51 Trump is a self-serving clown. In case you didn't get the e-mail even those of you on the right are saying the same things about his latest "bombshell". Amazingly you demand to see the President's transcripts, college applications, passport applications, birth certificate, and on and on and on but not a peep out of you about RMoney's taxes even though it is known that he shelters his money in offshore tax hideaways like the Cayman islands. Every other Presidential candidate released their tax returns since RMoney's father's day. Even RMoney demanded 10 years of tax returns from Ryan if I'm not mistaken. Why don't you ask these questions about RMoney?

    @PNWest I ask fairness from both. If Obama comes clean I would expect Romney to come clean. But the liberal left wing media will only hold Romney's feet to the fire, never Obama. Why aren't you sickened by a free press that is partisan to democrats? If you had any decency, you would admit the bias.

    Narcissists like Trump can't just anonymously donate $5M to charity. No, they need the pre-announcement, the full media coverage of the announcement, the run through the Fox News interviews, the whining when their offer doesn't warrant a response, and on and on. Trump needs a tax write off. Why make it a circle jerk?

    Sure...but let's be realistic: Trump would get better results offering to donate the money to the campaign. I don't think that the President will bite. Even if he does, you've gotta ask if he'll release everything to Trump's satisfaction AND will Trump actually be satisfied SHOULD Obama release everything and nothing is there.

    Gotta say, though...after seeing that article on here early this morning, and knowing what is likely going down over there----WELL worth the price-of-admission. The real question is all of THAT to-do about essentially NOTHING? Did Mitten's step in and say "No, No!"? Does the Donald have some REAL dirt on the President that was worthy of all of the attention and that 6-8 drum-roll? Will the "Contact Us" page look the same in 48 hrs time? Looks like we'll all have to stay tuned...

    @Polusalo Now see, that's something that I'll agree with you on right there. I'm not saying that he wouldn't eventually come off of the cash, but he'd pull some stunt like donating it to Obama's favorite charity in Mitt Romney's name. The real question here is what did he REALLY have planned...or maybe what did he THINK he had? I believe that it's the former, but I think that the Romney-camp stepped in and said, "Even if you've got something, we don't want to win like this..." If you know about anything that Mitt went through watching his Father AND his Mother get run through the political-mill, that would make a lot of sense. Keep in mind that Mitt's mother ran for office as well, and Mitt favors her in that regard as opposed to George Romney.

    The records should of been released long ago. Especially with the liberal outcry with demands over Romney's tax records. Fair is fair. Isn't that what Barry preaches, fairness and equality? Or, does that just pertain to people that don't follow the socialistic take over of the country?

    Fair is fair? Where are Romney's tax records that coincide w/ the decade+ tax records of Obama? When did anybody ask (or care) about Romney's school records or his passport records? Apparently it's only 'fair' if Obama caves to a right wing witch hunt.

    Give it up guys, you got the tax returns required plus a certification that Romney had paid taxes every year, contrary to Harry's invisible friend. All Obama wanted was more reasons to bash Romney for the crime of being rich. What difference for 10 more years make? He's rich, he got no salary for most of that time so he paid taxes on money already taxed one time the second time at the cap. gains tax rate. Since that is perfectly legal, what's the beef?

    @Tralee The difference is just like his father said "One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show". Regardless there is no cry from the right for Romney to release his school records, or his passport records, or his long form birth certificate. The beef is the 'fair is fair' comment when reality is these requests are hypocritical.

    @AceLuby Well DUH, that's because they are released, they are on his web site. Romney even, while visiting the hospital he was born in, offered to release his birth certificate, AND Romney released two years of his tax forms as is required by law for someone running for president. Sorry Ace but that's strike three for you. ;()(and I believe you meant to say "no cry from the "left" for Romney to...., right?)

    I'd love to see some charity get this money, but I doubt that Barry wants anything more known about how such a poor kid could have afforded tuition at America's most expensive educational institutions.

    The Reuters story has expanded. It appears that Obama watched the attacks on video from a possibly armed Predator drone. US Quick Response Forces were in the area and could have been on the ground within an hour.

    Yep, he knew, he lied about it and why the cover up? Was Obama just too disengaged to do anything about it? Could he just not be bothered? After all, he had a big fund raiser to go to, surely that was more important or perhaps all this information was in the briefings that he skipped? No matter what, he definitely dropped the ball and definitely lied to cover up his actions or non-actions. Too bad, 4 Americans are now dead, they died badly and one was raped by these ever so peaceful Islamists. No wonder he doesn't want to talk about it until after the election.

    @artjeb No it wasn't the attack went on for almost 7 hours, for most of that time no one knew where the Ambassador was, they only knew that the safe house had been overrun.

    @artjeb Nope.. the Attack Continued for 5 hours After the Admin was notified that the attack was by Al Qaeda ... And the Ambassador was alive for those 5 hours hold up in a safe room.. When the terrorists could not break through they set fire to the building... By the time looters found him and dragged him out he was still alive 6 hours after the Admin was notified... Hundreds of Emails were sent to All groups in the admins... We had over 300 aircraft within an Hour of the site... And over 3000 combat troops within an hour of the site... The Admin let our ambassador to die when we could have had a company of marines on the ground within an hour...

    @Tralee I disagree... I would say they State Dept knew Exactly where the ambassador was as the two other security guys and the ambassador had cell phones and were sending updates in real time... We had a drone in the air over the site in real time and as long as any of their phones were turned on we had real time GPS tracking of their locations...

    The October surprise would be if Obama actually did release his school records. They've been sealed for years. Now, personally, if I had graduated from Harvard Law after serving on the Law Review (was he president of the Law Review? I can't recall.) and knowing what it takes, usually, to get on Law Review of an Ivy League Law School, I would have pasted the grades and stats on billboards all over America during the first election campaign. Sooooo, I question just how he got on law review of Harvard, how he got into Harvard and how he got into Columbia since he admitted he spent the bulk of his HS years either stoned or drunk. Now, it has come to my attention, from a very reliable source, that some people of color admitted to the Univ. of Penn Law School quietly had their grades changed UP in order to not reflect badly on the school and I was told that this was not unusual. Affirmative action needs to reflect well on the institution employing it. Hmmm, I say to myself, would that explain why an attractive, personable Black graduate of Harvard Law, on Law Review and all, took a very mediocre job at a very small and inconsequential law firm in Chicago? At the time he graduated he was Golden! He could have gone with the best of the best for a very good 6 figure salary with a very generous signing bonus. Would that explain why, after a few years he quietly left and took up a position as Lecturer at the University only to quietly leave that position, without publishing even a short paper, to become a Community Organizer? See, what happens is a firm will hire what they think is a good, smart fit for their company, they work them for a few years evaluating their work and if after a few years they are deemed to NOT be a good fit or fit to become a partner, they are gently let go and kindly steered to another job that they may do better, thus the Lecturer at the Univ. But, while at the Univ. Obama was only popular as a lecturer for the first year and steadily lost what little following he had, alienated his fellow professors, "he phoned in his work, was disengaged and aloof", until finally he was let go from that position for lack of student interest to begin his third career as Community Organizer. This from one of the supposedly best and brightest of Harvard Law, is quite a downward spiral. It could explain why, when he was a State Senator his most common vote was "Present". Perhaps Mr.Obama's grades and work habits were not quite as good as he likes to state. Of course, we will never know, he's pretty good at covering things up after all.

    Should Obama bother with Chump I think he should negotiate. Make him work for it. I'd say $100 million (at least).
    Did I miss Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan's college transcripts and passports?

    I don't know about transcripts or passports, but Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar, an honor achieved by only one college student per year.

    @Denizen_Kate Yeah. I answered my own real query about college transcripts and presidents. Bush and Gore's were both basically acquired illegally by journalists and Kerry willfully gave his. Seems like a silly way to judge someone, how they did in school 20+ years prior.

    That is so much baloney...Obama doesn't care whether Trump gives millions to charity. Right now Obama is fighting his way out of that tangled web called Benghazi cover up.
