Fri Smoothbeartoo v No N O !!! Global warming being caused by humans is a figment of Algore's imagination. Besides he is the biggest hypocrite in the world. He has a massive electric bill at his TN mansion; he recently bought a seaside mansion in California against his own rules; he flies around the country on a super-carbon consuming private jet. Post
May 16 whatheheck v Yes To fix the problem we just need to sew all politicians mouths shut, starting with Al Gore. Post
May 12 Raisinbran96 v No It's a natural cycle that the earth goes through, but it is definately worsened by human emissions Post
May 10 Goose v No I do not believe human activity is responsible for this GLOBAL COOLING we have experienced recently. Post
May 8 Classified v Yes We are helping the planet solve our overpopulation problem. Maybe we should accept that there's no turning back and plan for the next 1000 years accordingly. Post
May 7 harold_lloyd v Yes I can't say from personal experience, but if the National Academy of Sciences says there is climate change and it's man-made, then I want policy and action to be based on that finding. If you choose not to believe it, I don't mind, but I don't want you influencing the govt response to any science based question. Post
u May 7 kramresim1 v Yes The scientific community generally agree that we are causing the warming. It is warming too fast to be "natural". Post
May 6 NoAmnestyEVER v No It's a direct result of all the hot air Obama spews on the brainless liberal koolaid drinkers Post
May 3 scotta v No Not no. But hell no. I feel that anybody who thing humans can change the worlds weather has been drinking the kool aid again. Post
u May 2 fraps v No Climate change has been occurring for millions of years. Not that long ago we were being warned about a coming ICE AGE. The current debate was started by a self serving politician with falsified data. That alone is good reason to doubt it. Post
Apr 27 Mnementh v Yes Climate change is a process which would occur with or without human activity. But it is obvious that we do have an impact and I feel that it is entirely negative for sustaining life as we know it. Post
Apr 27 skeptic v No PBS has a nice show on it.. not saying we are not seriously messing things up right now, but this happens whether we are here or not Post

Apr 26 84GreenBeetles v Yes According to NASA, the NOAA, AAAS, NSIDC, and every other organization with the tools to study the effects, document the changes, and peer review or publish articles... Yes, it is happening and humans are influencing it. This is not even a debate, there is no case against the changes being driven by humans aside from simply saying we aren't sure. We are sure, this is basic chemistry. Post
u Apr 26 Gatnos v No How incredibly arrogant of anyone to think that humans can negatively (or positively) impact God's creation. There is no verifible scientific proof of this politically convenient lie. What has been scientifically proven is that the recent warming trend is due to the sun's cycle reaching its peak. Al Gore may not have invented the internet, but he did invent global warming. Post
u Nov '12 thebull762 v No Wait, wasn't the earth cooling into another ice age in the 50's and 60's? Thats what Uncle Sam was saying back then, right? Post
Nov '12 92284_HEG v Yes A large percentage of climate change is due to fossil fuels, nuclear bombs, and other forms of pollution by humankind. However, climate does always change. But, pollution is very bad..and that is caused by human beings, and large corporations, not abiding by the strict pollution laws. r1 reply Post
Nov '12 Sillpchs v No Natural cycles the Earth has. At most we have have sped it up a few years. Post
u Nov '12 seedtick v No Without a doubt the things we humans do affect our environment and we have done some incredibly stupid things. But, changing the entire climate of the Earth is not one of them. There is little doubt that, as world population grows, everything about our environment is affected. However, the myth of Global Warming is a farce. Those who would profit from things as stupid as "Carbon Credits" and "Cap & Trade" are pushing the myth for their own monetary and political gain. I am sure that there are those among us who want everyone to stop all modern activity and go back to being the hunter-gatherers of prehistoric times when the only things to pollute the air were flatulenc... u Nov '12 Lorth v Yes 97 percent of scientists believe man is contributing to global warming. You don't buy 97 percent of the scientists in the world. What can be bought is the other 3 percent. Extremely wealthy capitalists can buy these 3 percent (this is a free market area) and then spend tons of money to influence the masses (using statements from their pet scientists as proof) that there is nothing to worry about so that the wealthy capitalists aren't forced to worry about destroying the environment and they save/make themselves lots and lots of money. Meanwhile, the masses are also influenced to vote Republican so the top 1 percent don't have to pay more in taxes. God - you have to adm... B2 r10 replies e28 endorsed Post
u Nov '12 IMAQT v No The climate has changed throughout the history of the world, regardless of mans presence. 10,000 years ago we were in an ice age, 40 years ago, many predicted another ice age coming. I am not sure what is more presumptuous, that man has changed the climate or that man can change the climate. B1 e15 endorsed Post
Nov '12 Speedieg v Yes Yes, it's is the height of stupidity to think that 7,000,000,000 people and all our activity have no effect on the climate. B1 e10 endorsed Post
Nov '12 HughAkston v No Global warming is a money making racket from top to bottom. The government needs money. Government dreams up global warming and wants to institute a carbon tax. But for this to happen government needs proof. So the government give tons of money away to colleges, universities, and eminent scientists. "Eminent Scientists" take millions of research dollars to "prove" that global warming exists. Data is manipulated, excluded. and "smoothed". Global warming is proved. More money is given to other "Eminent Scientists" at other universities. Then it becomes a consensus. The government shelled out billions for the predetermined outcome of global warming and will get trillions ... B2 r24 replies e8 endorsed Post
Nov '12 mimi57 v No Climate change is cyclical, and even NASA verified that. So while Al Gore is raking in the money from books and movies, it's just another lie to frighten people, and fatten the "Sky Is Falling" radical left's wallets. Isn't it time to get down to more serious issues like the economy and how we will get out of the mess we are in? B2 r5 replies e6 endorsed Post
Nov '12 Thunderchicken v I'm not sure When you consider the '70 predictions of a coming ice age. Then global warming. Then global cooling. Now climate change. And all of the discredited research, I don't think anyone knows for sure. That having been said, I'm all for not screwing up the planet as much as we can avoid it without getting nuts about it. I think carbon credits are a scam. I think killing coal is a huge mistake. I favor recycling. I'd like to see more in the way of hydrogen powered vehicles. And that's all I've got. e6 endorsed Post
Nov '12 PNWest v Yes The vast majority of scientists studying the phenomena think that mankind is responsible. Who do you trust more - the PhDs that study things like this or a drug addled college dropout with a right wing radio show? Well for the majority of the posters on Politix I guess the choice is obvious. B1 r1 reply e1 endorsed Post
Nov '12 bsking v No the climate changes that's what it does. greed and the first for ultimate power over other people is what fuels this movement. if they can convince enough people that this is legitimate they think they can force them into driving little electric cars that burst into flames if they get wet. they think they can tell you where to live what to drive and when and control literally every aspect of your life. it's just the latest attempt by the elites in the progressive statist movement how to gain control and power over the commoners. one needs only look as far as big fat al Gore , a pathetic pervert who has made hundreds of millions of dollars off of this scam, well he liv...
