u May 9 fraps v Voter fraud The left insisted there was no voter fraud and no proof of voter fraud. Well that mantra has recently been disproven in Chicago of all places. People voted twice, among other crimes. Given the need for ID if one is stopped on the street by the local police, if one wants to fly, if one wants to travel on some trains, it seems the requirement for a valid government issued ID is a requirement of citizenship today. It is true that there are pockets of people who do not have GIID. There is a simple solution to provide ID to them. The USPS delivers mail to virtually every house in this country. May 3 DogLady_1 v Some other voting issue I am more concerned with Election Fraud since it is the most prevalent problem in our system today... "Election fraud" is when poll-workers or other trusted election officials alter the results of an election by adding, changing, or destroying submitted ballots, or when candidates attempt to buy votes... "Voter fraud" is rare, and has never been extensive enough to alter the outcome of an election. Most alleged voter fraud cases have turned out to be clerical errors, and not fraud at all... the dead or moved-away voters simply had not been purged from the rolls, and absentee ballots were the cause of other discrepancies in recent elections. Other errors that wer... B1 Post

IE: those who voted for Obama on the simple fact that he is 'black' just to try to 'prove' they aren't racist, which IS reverse racism, or because "he be a brutha", or those who haven't a clue as to what's going on and make their decision based on a whim such as 'he seems cool' or 'he sounds good'. It's our horrible voting habits that will eventually get us enslaved, and ultimately destroyed.. In Broward County alone (north of Miami-Dade and sharing its border with it) there were 800 cases of voter fraud, from felons voting unlawfully, to undocumented aliens voting unlawfully as well. u Apr 28 shadowrydr420 v Voter suppression It's very obvious the republicans are using every dirty trick they can think up to keep people away from the polls. Look what they are up to in La Porte in the name of saving money. Right now there is by law a voting place for every 1200 people . Their new plan is to have one for every 10,000 voters. u Apr '13 gherlone v Voter fraud we need an all of the above button. that said, there is credible history for all three issues being a problem at various times and places. I think fraud is the biggest problem because it is so stealthy. proper rules for the use of machines (to include a hard-copy record of votes to allow a hand recount) can mitigate the machine error issues. voter suppression is fairly public, and in this age of instant reporting raises a lot of questinos quickly when someone tries to intimidate, or tries to limit opportunity. Nov '12 PNWest v Voter suppression The isolated instances of voter fraud have been investigated and shown to make up a infinitesimally small portions of the votes cast. Probably less than a couple of thousand votes out of a 150,000,000. On the other hand the GOP voter suppression campaign has forced hardships on hundreds of thousands of eligible voters, always of minorities or other democratic leaning constituencies. It is this kind of systematic attack on the electoral system that presents a far greater threat to our democracy. B3 r7 replies e30 endorsed Post

Nov '12 bsking v Voter fraud I'm always concerned about voter fraud. especially in Democrat districts. Friday the NAACP took over a polling place. Philadelphia this morning you got the new black panties with their tiny sticks in their hands... another Pennsylvania polling place would not allow Republican poll workers in 4 hours.. presumably so they could skew the voting. and God only knows what they're going to do down in Broward County 1 thing is for certain though they know they're going to lose. that's why they won their base yesterday to be calm stay calm. that's why Obama been in his career and a half filed arena in tears B2 r2 replies e4 endorsed Post
