A voter from Pennsylvania has captured video evidence of a serious voting machine glitch. You can clearly see in the video that hitting the "Obama" check box results in a checkmark by Romney's name. When he hit "Romney," the Romney box was checked.
The machine has now been taken out of service, NBC reports. The guy who captured the video claims he's a software developer, and says that the error clearly did not result from a poorly calibrated machine - with the implication being that it was deliberately set to register a vote for Obama as a Romney vote.
There've been other reports of machines switching votes from Romney to Obama and vice versa, but this seems to be the first captured on video.
@WilliamWallace Yeah right. I haven't seen that on video where a Romney vote turns into Obama's but there's no discussion here, we have it in video where Obama's vote turns into Romney's. the system is rigged. Republicans, SMH
No. There was one numbskull potential voter there that insisted on telling everyone within hearing distance he was voting Obama and began listing his reasons why (which from my point of view were stupid). Although, he was told by the election officers he could not talk like that within the voting area - he continued to do so. One of the workers did have to call in on him so I don't know whether he got to vote or not. I hope not - he was too delusional and too high to make a rational choice.
They were doing it against Romney in OH and KS. But yea, can't really dispute this video. Like I said, both sides of the political spectrum are responsible for stupid Mickey Mouse [STUFF] like this....
thats a lie lol I figured out that if you lie cheat or steal or if your very dismissive you vote for romney and how do you vote for somebody that lie about everything and his own wife thinks he is mentally unstable
@basedgod00 - two identical twin brothers live on an island, one always tells the truth and the other always lies. You're taking the road to get to the other side of the island and you come to a fork in the road and you don't know which way to go. You see one brother standing there. What do you do?
@DerivePI dude lol you compare romney and obama as twin brothers lol you just as clueless as him and if you know which one is a lier why would you listin to him at all no matter if he is ther or not and the question makes no since because your voteing between 2 people how do seeing 1 person at a fork in the road compare to voteing between 2 people to run a country
according to the guy recording the video, even picking stein wouldn't get Obama selected (all buttons were not calibrated down). He was able to select Obama by clicking on a small sliver at the bottom of the Obama button. No one else at the polling place said they had problems.
@stimpy The most obvious answer is usually the correct one Since the only spot where the video jumps like that is between when his finger appears to touch the screen and when the Romney selection lights up, the most obvious answer is that the video was edited to make it appear that the machine was doctored. If someone is going to go to all the trouble to fix those machines, wouldn't it be more logical to program the desired choice to appear on the screen while the vote is changed by the software without being observable by the voter? Please don't say that a Republican software developer bent on voter fraud is not smart enough to figure that out.
I just got new glasses last month, and I still couldn't see anything weird about it. That said, it's been years since I've trusted photo or video evidence. Even if this is legit, I doubt very much that it is at all prevalent.
@Dan_Tien. I agree. And for every one who voted for obama that actually have a job right now we'll see how happy you are in 4 years. I actually hope y'all are right about him, but this election was one on social issues. The thing is it's the economic ones that are hurting us.
