Exit polls: Republicans lost women and minorities

When Bill O'Reilly complained that Obama won because "the white establishment is now a minority," his words pointed at a kernel of truth. The American electorate has changed, and national elections can't be won by appealing only to white voters.

Obama's victory relied on big majorities in every group apart from white males. He won 75% of Hispanics, 73% of Asians, 56% of women, and 93% of African Americans.

That didn't happen by accident – it was a result of deliberate strategy by both campaigns. Team Romney banked on capturing over 61% of white voters, and didn't make much effort to reach other groups. Meanwhile Obama relied on winning 80% of the minority vote. His amnesty for young undocumented immigrants, announced in the summer, was a gamble that seemed to pay off.

I didn't say the Entire Democrat Party was on welfare or food stamps or didn't pay taxes. the reason the Democrat Party continue to grow especially among immigrants is the hand outs.

people can walk into this country now and go directly to the welfare rolls . it used to be we expected people to learn English get a job and support themselves to be allowed to live here and become a citizen, and we expected them to become a productive member of society and for the most part they did.

now it's all about building your political base so that the elite politicians can stay in control. the ingenious way the Democrats have been able to build their base is to strip out restrictions that put responsibility on the individual and replace that with all kinds of freebies including making the Spanish the majority language in many areas. couple that with stripping out the requirements for work , not pushing for assimilation even going so far as to supply translators anywhere from the courthouse to a welfare office. these types of policies encourage abuse. but they also accomplish the goal of welcoming new dependents. and as we all know the party who gives away the most goodies will retain the takers.

Obama promised every single group everything they wanted in exchange for a vote. we already know he's a liar apparently those groups didn't. but anybody who promises you the moon and the stars, to quote our eloquent ,sophisticated president, " is a bullshitter".(his words.rolling stone interview. in regards to Mitt Romney)

stop? Only when they demonize those who have worked hard to become "rich". I am
so tired of success being ridiculed by the Left, how sad, since success is what made
America great. I guess those days are gone, now it's "see how much I can get from the
government" mentality. Nothing like praising and rewarding those who want to sit back
and get the government "freebies". Not the ones who need it, or have earned it, but the ones who will continue to abuse the system. Shame on them!

It is the perception that "stuff" will be more available, even if it really isn't. As for the Communist-Socialist principles, redistribution of your wealth and being in bed with the unions is paramount to King Obama's goals. There is no question these comments hurt the GOP. Before these comments Romney was attracting the support of women because he was able to keep the debate about a strong economy to secure the future for the next generation. The GOP's current message isn't so much pro life as much as it is no abortion. Now someone might say that is semantics. Not really. The pro life message needs to be more than just saying no. It needs to be about strengthening churches and other local charity efforts to make sure more women feel like they can legitimately choose life. Because of the loss of community women feel alone and feel they have no choice. If the choice is based on desperation, life will lose more often than not.

I am a Latina woman and I voted for Romney. Unlike most minorities I voted because I don`t want what Obama has to offer nor do I want to live in a socialist country. I believe most ppl voted for Obama because of race and did not bother to really think about what our futures and the direction he is pointing it to.

Mr. Obama has not provided any economic policies to increase that 53% of the electorate that does pay taxes. In fact, his policies will result in that 53% becoming smaller, especially over the next 10 years (5 if austerity measures are aggressively deployed which is what his advisors are essentially suggesting). Do you think that is a positive result and a good direction of this nation? Finally, Question #3. If you answer #2 is YES, then please explain the long term effects of a majority underclass being supported by a minority producer class? Feel free to pull out a history book before answering.

I am a white male Libertarian. Romney didn't get my vote because all the people behind Romney were GW Bush people. I used to be a Republican but if you study the history of the Republicans since the Reagan took office, the GOP is every bit as bad of spenders as the Dems and in fact account for more of our deficit than the Dems. Romney despised the true conservatives and Tea party patriots of which three millions that votes for McCain in 2008 stayed at home and did not vote for Romney. The great American businessman Mitt Romney proved to be spineless and crossing the aisle to his beloved liberals time and again as he intentionally deserted the White, Hispanic and Asian conservatives and Tea Party patriots led by Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. Even the great American woman leader Michele Bachmann who was fighting for re-election in MN was deserted by the GOP RINO Establishment that did not fund Michele because she did not appealed to them more than the left wing liberal that they adore. Mitt Romney despised the talk show hosts Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Mike Gallagher and refused to get interviews that could affect the Conservatives and Tea party Whites, Hispanic and Asians. Clearly, the fact that Romney tried to appease the liberals as the perfect Maverick like McCain who crosses the aisle routinely to appease the liberals made him losing his loyal base that he was hiding from. Romney was hiding from the great Sarah Palin that could bring him three million votes of the tea Party and conservatives while he ran to talk shows on NBC, CBS to get liberals that never voted for him. Romney also tried to hide the Obama’s failure to save the lives of four American heroes in US Embassy in Libya that were attacked on by al Qaida terrorists and failed to show the hypocrisy of Obama only to appease the liberals. Shame on you Mitt Romney for failing GOP by deserting the conservatives and Tea Party great Americans while losing to Obama who offered Obama free checks to liberals while you offered jobs that they did not request.

The title of the article is quite right. That was the only demographic he beat Obama in. It does not imply only white men voted for him, or that all white men voted for him, simply that he won in terms of that demographic.

They are this President's advisers, he is the face of their party. They steal the wealth of our nation by printing paper money, so much so that they devalue whatever we own.
