Mom Names Twins 'Barack' and 'Mitt'

It's her way of commemorating America's election day

It's beyond bipartisanship. It's even beyond post-partisanship. It's the news that a Kenyan mother just gave birth to twins - and has christened them "Barack" and "Mitt."

20-year-old Millicent Owuor said she named her twins after the Republican and Democratic rivals for the American presidency so she could forever remember the fateful day of the election. A day in which a famous Kenyan grandson won a second shot at the presidency.

Sarah Obama, the US President's step-grandmother, lives a short distance from the hospital where the un-strange bedfellows were born. She told the BBC that God gave Barack Obama a second term because he has the "knowledge to love all people," and lacks the "knowledge of division."

i've got one that i believe is even goofier... my niece gave birth to a 9# baby boy on election day and named him 'mitbama' in honour of both candidates.

okay naming a Kenyan baby Barack, that makes sense we have one of those in the White House. but the other one doesn't fit it's name at all, she should have named that one differently, imagine the teasing that poor kid is going to endure on the plains of Kenya .

Yep, I think I'm down with the program. The moderators have let me realize that it is only freedom of speech when you are saying something everyone agrees with.
