Now that the campaign season, with its beers, hot dogs and
hamburgers is over, the pressure is on for the POTUS to set a good and healthy example for kids of
all ages.
The Hill reports that the DC-based Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is asking the President to ditch the cheesy, beefy and fatty foods he consumed on the campaign trail. "President Obama had to pose for these photos for political reasons, but now it's time for dispensation," said PCRM founder Neal Barnard. "Politicians will always have to kiss babies and cut ribbons, but we can now officially take junk food [literally] out of the political picture."
The number of severely obese adults in the US nearly doubled between 2000 and 2010, according to a
report released last month by the RAND Corporation.
