May 13 Prime_Meridian v Some other reason I didn't vote for him the first time. I was convinced that he genuinely cared about the American People, and that he was a moderate insofar as gun control went. Barely one month after the election, after the horrible tragedy of Sandy Hook Elementary, in Newtown, CT, independent voters like me, who were persuaded by the Obama Machine to vote for him, realized the horrible truth: He was just waiting for a second term, and an excuse to try to manipulate America into ceding even more Constitutional Rights. Nov '12 Speedieg v Demographics The fact is independents and moderates don't feel the Republican Party is a possible choice. They are far too caught up in extremeist positions on immigration, gay rights, and women's rights. They claim to be for smaller government but then put all these policy mandates forward to restrict rights. Let me give an example. A winning strategy is we don't support Gay Marriage but we will support full civil unions with the exact same federal benefits and force states to accept it. Instead they support banning any possibility of equality through a constitutional amendment banning any recognition at all. Romney even said that he did not support allowing the partners of Gay an... Nov '12 Mercury34 v Personality Romney showed America that he was a fool becuase of his gaffes and constant flip-flopping. His 47% gaffe sealed his fate. He basically flipped off half of America with that gaffe. His Binders full of women comment showed that he was out of touch with women's issues. No wonder alot of women didn't vote for him. And his flip-flopping. Oh God. Why couldn't he just make up his mind!? Obama is far from perfect, but he's still better then Flip-Floppy Romney. B1 r1 reply e14 endorsed Post
Nov '12 mimi57 v Some other reason Quite simple, he has the liberal media and Union support and whatever else the "Chicago" Political Machine could have done... He can't blame Bush now, let's see what he does. We know what he's already done, ie., Obamacare, entitlements for all. Hard working Americans are the losers here, everyone else can just get in line for the dole outs, and the people with jobs will just get taxed to death...That's the plan.
