Conservative associations with revolting, big-mouth name-callers like Ann is what will guarantee that they never regain control of this nation for years to come.

He expressed his dismay but allowed them to make their own decision.
As far as your agreement with devil lady that our president is a "retard"; where's your Harvard law degree?

"There are many people who can speak to the conservative point of
view with integrity and conviction, but Ms. Coulter is not among
them. Her rhetoric is often hateful and needlessly provocative-more
heat than light-and her message is aimed squarely at the darker
side of our nature." - Joe McShane --- I think he got it wrong here. I fully believe that Ann Coulter acts with integrity and conviction. Her rhetoric is inflammatory, but hateful? That is not even for the Father McShane to decide. To call it needlessly provocative, suggests that the attention she gets would be there without her fiery spirit. I believe the father has good intentions, but at some point, college students will need to grow up. Coddling them will not help.

Coulter is a neocon, NOT a real conservative. Uninviting her is a good idea. Other good ideas include excluding Karl Rove, The Bush Crime Gang, and other hard core Xitian Fundie neocons from the GOP and returning the party to real conservatives and moderates.

@RobertJHarsh, I agree. There was a time when, as a slightly left-leaning independent, I could have intelligent and thoughtful conversations on social and political issues with conservatives friends, without name-calling and without the "my way or the highway" attitudes. Ann Coulter represents all that I have come to loathe about the GOP.

Who cares about self aggrandizing Ann Coulter. If ever there was a woman who must be having a mad passionate love affair with a mirror it's her. She sure couldn't be counted on to provide any sort of intellectual stimulation to the Repbulican Club
  • !
Absolutely, Coulter represents everything wrong with the Republican Party. If people like her would just keep their stupid opinions out of things, Obama would have lost the election. She and the others of her kind, are what keeps the Republican Party looking like a bunch of segregationists, who only want to suppress freedom. The republicans are doomed to never hold office again, so long as people like her are figure heads of the party.

Fordham President Joseph McShane's pressure on a campus group to have Coulter uninvited is what is disturbing. It's always "freedom of speech" for every topic or speaker under the sun as long as they are liberal but, to hear from anyone with an opposing view is increasingly shut down or marginalized by political correctness.
  • !
I know! McShane should IMMEDIATELY invite spokespersons for the KKK and the Aryan Brotherhood to share their "opposing view" regarding the American tradition of guaranteed civil rights and equality among races.
  • !
@fact-check and while you're at it why not have him invite the saudiArabian president that Barry Hussein disgracefully bowed down to!!!!!!!!!!
  • !
@fieldsofgold: Do you mean the Saudi Prince that President George W. Bush was photographed holding hands with in the White House Rose Garden?
  • !
    @fact-check
This is the kind of hyperbole the Left throws out all of the time. KKK is not Coulter but because you disagree with her you see her as such.
  • !
@bizaroWorld: No, actually I see Ann Coulter as a frigid, self-centered pundit of severely limited intellectual capacity who profits from the incredibly ignorant American populace who support her vapid rants.

no it looks like that little group of Republicants is showing they wouth rather follow a Bill Kristol and take estrogen supplements , rather than strengthen their spine and stand up and be true conservatives. sadly there's more and more of those types in the GOP. the mealy mouth pantywaists who are so eager to be interviewed on the weekend shows and then are nowhere to be found when there's a fight to be made.

Big whoop! this happens all the time on both sides of the political spectrum. it happened here at a Catholic university when they backed off a left-wing speaker.

if the universities can't handle having their students see all points of view, it is the students loss. sometimes it has more to do with the speaker and te university at odds with the deal they struck...

I'm not so sure Ann Coulter qualifies as a point of view, so much as a broken record. She just keeps spouting the same spiteful rhetoric over and over. Read any one of her books and you've read them all. It's possible that the young Republican students at Fordham have decided they would rather hear from someone with real conservative views.

Wow, that guy's got great hair!

Seriously, this is the same woman who claims racism ended in 1964 and that since women voted in enough numbers to elect Mr Obama it would be appropriate to strip females of the right to vote. Are these mainstream Republican values?

They (Republicans) are realizing that they have to distance themselves from the Right-Wing nutjobs like Coulter, Rove, Akin, Murrdock, O'Reilly ,Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Rush Lumbuagh, and Michele Bachmann.

@joyshusband: She's able to say it all she wants in the privacy of her own home.

Question: Did you feel the same way when the Dixie Chicks were persecuted for their statement regarding the fact that George W. Bush was from Texas?
  • !
@fact-check Yes, I love the Dixie Chicks, have all their songs on my iPad, just because I noticed every lefty on one page was ditto'ing each other, does not mean I'm a righty. I'm a independent who realized many moons ago that all politicians are liars and most of them are in the game for personal gain. Kinda sad thou, you had to dig all the way back to the Dixie Chicks, shows you the right don't squelch free speech no where near as much as the left does.

If Coulter would use her gift for biting satire in a non-prejudiced, adult manner she could be the Jon Stewart of the right fringe. Instead, she takes pride in being more disgusting than Andrew Dice Clay doing a Howard Stern impersonation.
  • !
Well ya know, as it turns out that Dixie Chick was pretty much right on the money about Bush. Concerning Anne Coulter I am almost positive this is a sex change. Or someone created in a lab somewhere. One or the other.
  • !
@LetsAllBeHappy Well I don't know what planet you reside on but on my planet the Dixie Chick (and it was only one of them) nailed Bush. He is considered to be the worst President since Hoover by about 75% of America. If you knew me and how disgusting I find the banjo to be and the fact I don't like Dixie Chick music you would know how right they have to be for me to stand up for them. And Coulter is about as mannish as woman I have ever seen. Not to mention she's an idiot.
  • !
@LetsAllBeHappy I don't have any desire to get into a shouting match with someone who supports the like of Coulter. I don't shoot unarmed people.
  • !
@jessejaymes well Jesse-if you would have read on and perhaps i worded it wrong-but I do not support ann coulter either-i do not like hate-so I do not know who you are shouting at-but considering we are on different planets and I am an earthling and thus you are on another planet-perhaps this forum would be the best method of communication-I do not think I could hear you if you shouted. I believe I wrote the dixie chicks were wrong and so was ann coulter
