Somebody should sit Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal down with
Rick Santorum to hash some things out.
The Louisiana governor prefers a more cerebral GOP - and one less in thrall to the rich. In a recent interview, the Republican governor had some choice words for the GOP that cautioned them against being the "stupid party" - but also the party of "big business," "big banks," and "big Wall Street,"

"We've had enough of this dumbed-down conservatism," said Jindal, referring to an election year full of "bizarre" comments and "offensive" statements from some of his party's members. "We need to stop being simplistic and stop insulting the intelligence of the voters." Beyond excoriating Republicans for setting the intellectual bar so low, he also advised the party to re-think what Jindal sees as a knee-jerk defense of the wealthy. "We cannot be, we must not be, the party that simply protects the rich so they get to keep their toys," he said.
