A Florida man chose a permanent solution to a temporary problem when he took his own life last week.
CBS reports that Key West resident and business owner Henry Hamilton committed suicide following the re-election of President Obama, whom he claimed was a threat to his livelihood as the owner of a tanning salon. Opting to take a number of unidentified pills, Hamilton left a note that read "Do not revive! F--- Obama!" according to police reports.
In an eerie foreshadowing of the incident, Hamilton is reported to have recently told a friend, "If Barack gets re-elected, I'm not going to be around."
Dramatic responses (if that's not an understatement) to Obama's re-election appear to be a trend. Politix reported yesterday on an irate, pro-Romney Arizona woman who ran over her husband in a Jeep because he failed to vote.

It may be "the ultimate finger", but, isn't this like cutting off one's nose to spite one's face? As for the guv-er-mont check (LOL), it won't be too long before we find out the consequences of that attitude! Gotta find the Rosetta Stone for the Chinese language....bahaha
@CATTLEPROD....I've been saying that for the last two weeks. The pro-Obama guys really think they have won on his policies but in reality they won because the non-producer class is now the majority. The people who want "stuff" and gimmedats...they are the majority now. And to answer your question, this cannot go on for long. Even if they manage to keep it going for a short 20 years the US will not be able to bleed the producers enough to pay for all those gimmedats. Many will vote with their feet in 10 years when they are tired of the taxation required to be a producer. The only thing wrong with Romney's 47% comment was it was too low. The real number is probably 55% right now and will easily hit 65% in 10 years. Even the producers who support Obama need to ask themselves a hard question. "Do I want to be a producer so 65% of the country lives on welfare?" Even the gays and angry white women who make good incomes...their support will wane. Now is the time to start planning for what is coming.
Good? Come on. Really? If you are going to end the remainder of your life because you cant stand the thought of enduring the next four... Dont let the pearly gates hit ya on the way out. Seriously, As the article even said, Perma solution to a temp problem. If you are that stupid to do that... I think its safe to say we wont be losing the cure to cancer with your absence
@VVP Too true.......but always thought you was stopped (and frisked) before entering the "Pearly Gates". Either way, if there is an after life, he's not enjoying it and if there isn't, he's not enjoying it.....lol
@Neo_NtheMatrix He was obviously suffering from a mental disorder if an election result is a 'traumatic event'. I feel for his friends and family, but wonder what kinds of friends and family he had if he was willing to kill himself because of an election result.
First moving to Canada, then secession, now suicide? The reason they are reacting so badly to Obama's re-election is because they are mad that RObMymoNEY didn't get elected. Seriously people. Grow a spine and accept that Obama won and not worry about it for the next four years.
Now try to tell me right-wing lies and misrepresentations are not dangerous. Of course it takes the gullible, mind-numb-robots and heads-full-of -mush right-wingers to get the full effect such as this man got. They have to believe the Republican propaganda, and there is no shortage of them who do.
This man was defrauded by the GOP and died NEVER realizing it. Sad.
Where do you folks get your facts? Make them up? Obama has had less vacation days than two of the recent GOP presidents.
......... First 31 months of Obamas first term - 61 days.
.......... Same period of time - Bush Jr - 180 days
.......... Same period for Ronnie - 112 days
Bush ll also holds the distinction of taking the most days off of any modern president , maybe the most of all of them. He took a total of 1020 days off during his two term presidency. And he had two wars he was supposed to be running.
To be far to all of them though, a President is never "on vacation". As Ronnie put it and I paraphrase - Presidents don't take vacations they just have a change of scenery.
@MRMacrum I never understood the complaints from the right about the Obama's vacations. It's as if the GW Bush presidency didn't exist and nobody can talk about the time between 2001 and 2007 when we had the largest % increase in the deficit ever.
