We are in too much. This is not the cold war, we don't need to make anymore countries mad at us. Israel as been at war since it recreation in the 1900s and will continue to be at war. They are trying to ensure their country survives.

You don't have to send money to support your sister the victim of spousal abuse. Sometimes just lending an eat may be enough. In this case, supporting Israel's right to defend itself is not the same as committing troops and resources.

We don't see it in the news but on almost a daily basis since the last cease fire, Hamas is launching a rocket, shooting across the border or trying to sneak bombs into Israel. What do you think we would do if Russia were doing this to us. Sooner or later, we'd go after them too. Anyone thinking there will ever be peace is sadly mistaken. There is to much hatred and bias. Israel is surrounded by enemies that would rather see Israel go up in smoke. Remember that's the promise of Iran's president.

I'd like another choice on this survey. It doesn't matter what we as a nation or Obama as our president does or says, the Middle East is always going to be a mess. We've tried, over and over again, to bring peace to that region, with very little success. I'm for Israel defending itself. I would like to see the demise of Iran-backed groups of cowards like Hamas, but I don't think it is within our power to achieve that, and trying to do so falls under the heading of "no good deed ever goes unpunished."
