Maybe he should just focus on telling the truth..completely. If he screwed up then or now just tell everyone. I realize there are enough comments and articles dedicated to his screw-ups, however it would be refreshing if he just came to the public and admitted them himself. Maybe he could go down in history as the first completely honest president/politician. I am so over the drama, lies, innuendos, finger pointing, blaming, diversions, etc. If our elected official don't grow up soon and start doing their job then how sad is that for our country. Raising taxes on the Rich doesn't solve the problem of why they are so rich and why they think they should get a free ride.. but serious regulation of banks could change the climate where the Ultra Rich [most of whom got their by lying, cheating and/or stealing] are not worshiped. But after Regulation, raise the taxes as high as we can if nothing else to nudge people from not wanting to "have it all" and allow most of the wealth and cash to float back down to the on the majority..

Bring back jobs , especially for the millions of people that now have needed Gov't. assistance working on 3 generations . Welfare has not done the stated job it was intended to do . If Obama wants to raise taxes, then he should first consider spending cuts. Here are but a few examples of what can go on the chopping block: $2.5 Billion in food stamp waste (i.e. spending food stamps on alcohol, cigarettes, fast food, etc.). $750,000 to brew beer in New Hampshire. $1.2 Million to study World of Warcraft. $1.5 Million to study beef jerky. $1 Million to study a potential Mars food menu. We could also cut foreign aid by 100%, especially in Middle East Countries that hate our guts (hey, have them hate us for free, there really isn't a difference). The class warfare artists could tax "the rich" at 100% and it would literally do nothing to shrink the $16 trillion debt. @Cool_voter - My apologies Cool Voter, I agree with you. obama has made a lot of cuts. We went from a huge $10T deficit when Bush left office to this miniscule $17T deficit that obama has worked the deficit down to. Hopefully obama can get us down to only a $24T deficit by the time he leaves office. That would have this nation in great fiscal shape.
