For what they accomplish they need to take a big cut in all benefits, perks, and salaries. These guys forget that we pulled the levers, once they get to Washington, and do absolutely nothing for their public back home and they dare sit in congress and address each other as "Honorable" or Esteemed" The outhouse smelled better than any of these farces.

Because they are not doing an efficient job for the American ppl. Their annual budgets for entertainment & other unreasonable spenditures should be offset as well. We, the tax payers, shouldn't have to foot the bills of those who do not earn their keep nor show the least amount of gratitude for our efforts in making them distinguished & powerful. They should have their salary cut significantly to the level of the average citizens income. They should get the same benefits that an average employed citizen gets. There should be no perks whatsoever. They can pay for their own housing, travel, food, etc. They should also be limited to one term in any particular office and not be allowed to serve in a consecutive term at the same level of government. Ends almost all lobbying, professional politicians, pork, etc.

To write this because of an Arkansas Congressman Rick Crawford that remains in office today, i blame him and only him in my own opinion of me losing about $20,000.00 last year. I ask him to help me get my socail security after getting my finger's cut-off in 2010. I had paid taxes for 33 years or about as a brick mason, building Arkansas schools, colleges and hospital, along with many homes. Yes they should. They live off us while we struggle and they get nothing done when they actually show up! Its a disgrace how they take advantage of the people of his country. They should drive their own cars and have to pay for their own insurance! And stop taking their friends and family on trips at our expense. Look at MO she has her mother living in the WH free! Not to mention her own vacays with tons of people to make her look civilized! Its an outrage!

Yes, they also should be denied pensions, and should have to get health insurance the same way as others. Congress in essence has national health care, they do not pay for medical services. I beleive everyone should enjoy this right. Perhaps if congress lost it they would think about what the rest have to go through and create national health care or a single payer, or govt option type system. Onsmacare, though better then nothing, just doesn't do it for me...
