The American Citizen. Our elected officials refuse to listen to the voice of the people. The president refuses to take his blinders off and look around. We are the sacrificial lambs at the government's pleasure and pay for it by voting the wrong people into office time after time. Yes, we the regular American has the toughest job. There is a mountain in Washington DC that is more than difficult to move than those of biblical fame.

THE VOTERS. We get to hear ENDLESS B.S. often over a period of years, and the same old song and dance about "freedom" while we watch our rights and freedoms being eroded, taxes increasing-even through hidden fees, etc. in things like phone bills- and a constant blame-game by both sides; being lectured on the need to 'sacrifice', while the powers-that-be fly across the country to play golf with professional golfers and send their families on dream vacations to the Caribbean and elsewhere. And thanks to the media, we are only given TWO (2) USUALLY LOUSY CHOICES from which to choose, or vote for a candidate who has not been given a realistic chance to win, again...

Republicans are being deliberately set up to fail...Obama rejects anything the Republicans propose and is hoping to go off the 'fiscal cliff' and then blame Boehner and the Republicans for it. That will be his way of looking like the victim and the 'good' guy and will attempt to paint the Republicans as 'unreasonable and uncooperative'. It doesn't matter to him what happens to the Country, he wants to make himself 'look' good, and he'll do it at any cost.

Not only do you gotta throw ideas out there that half the country'll hate, you gotta sneak those same ideas past a recalcitrant/intransigent Congress. Talk about a guy being in a no win situation. If he stands as a fiscal conservative and a deal doesn't get done, he's demonized as being an "obstructionist". If he compromises in an attempt to get a deal done, he's labeled as weak, unprincipled, and unwilling to stand up for what he believes. If a deal doesn't get done, he'll get 100% of the blame. If a deal does get done, he'll get absolutely none of the credit. If there was EVER a guy in a damned if you do, damned if you don't position, it;s Boehner.
