u May 14 commonsense51 v Less As long as Obama & Hillary are a part of our lives, we will all have to spend less. Post
May 8 busseja v About the same I'll be long dead when the next 2012 holiday season comes along. It is not May of 2013. Post
May 2 NoAmnestyEVER v Less Thanks to Obama I'll be spending less on myself but WAYYY more on taxes and supporting illegal aliens. Post
May 2 JTHEM v About the same Since Christmas is now a secularized "holiday season", I don't really bother with gifts. I send cards telling my kids how much I love them and remember to recycle. PERIOD. Post
Apr 30 harold_lloyd v About the same Does anyone read these old questions before you post them? How do we define 'obsolescent'? Post
Apr 29 Companion101 v Less Seeing as how my grocery bill has doubled ...definitely less this year :( Post

Apr 26 Prime_Meridian v More A bit more. This year has been a better for me than last year, but not by a huge amount. I am replacing things that I needed to replace, though. Like this computer, for example! Post
u Dec '12 freedom4ever v Less Less for sure, after all we have to be able to eat for the remainder of the month too, not to mention, pay bills, doctor's, etc! Merry Christmas Washington DC r1 reply Post
Apr 24 lawnmowrman Please overlook this but it's only way to get around the obstacle politix.com has placed in front of me. Fourteen minutes and three reload clicks and the voting page still had not loaded. Please, politix.com, re-enable your low graphics voting page for those of us or only me that cannot use the new system. XP sp3, 56K on COM3 downloading at 2.3kbps, haven't tried your voting page with Linux Puppy Lucid but expect results to be about the same My vote is impossible to make at this time. It will take a while to decide what to make this year. I spent $108 last year on vanilla beans and Swedish vodka and made six pints of vanilla extract. I spent a couple hundred o... Post @lawnmowrman
Dec '12 MobileAppDev v More My income seems to double every year while Obama is in office. So will my gifts. Post
Dec '12 Jan_Matt v More We have a baby now and this is our first time celebrating Christmas so of course we are spending more... much more. Post
Dec '12 Nolee_of_Araya v Less I quit celebrating holidays. No friends, no family I care to see, and more important things to spend my money on. Post
Dec '12 Hold_Please v Less We've changed how we exchange gifts with my wife's family (everyone is assigned a person, rather than everyone buying for everyone) and you can't beat the sale prices this year. In short, I've shopped smarter, not harder. Post
u Dec '12 LargoMae v Less No Christmas Tree, No presents, No religious services.........We are bankrupting America. r2 replies Post
u Dec '12 LargoMae @Hold_Please People say life is good.....I say life is deceitful! Alas, with age comes wisdom, happily! Peace be with you! Post @LargoMae
Dec '12 tmat1988 v Less With the economy in the tank and my taxes going up, I'm holding way back on my spending this year. Post
Dec '12 Roco v Less Since I'm not in the "commercial mood" of xmas and I'm tired of making the rich richer and me poorer, no. Post
Dec '12 isis2012 v Less When I was younger, I'd like to spend my money like there was a hole in my pocket. I wish then I took a moment and banked more of my money than throwing it away! Parents spend to much on their kids at Christmas time to the point of using Layaway and maxing out credit cards. My mother used to say, if you can't pay for Christmas by Dec.25 ,then you couldn't afford it! Post
Dec '12 Capt_Morgan02 v Less I don't own a limitless credit card that other people will have to pay off. I can only spend what I bring in. Unlike our govt. B2 r1 reply e22 endorsed Post
Dec '12 texas_cutie75 v Less I wish I could be more generous this year, but it isn't possible. I made sure that the gifts I got were meaningful. Remember the reason for the Season!! B2 e13 endorsed Post
Dec '12 MarkJM v Less I've spent less than last year. I figured I would prepare for the tax increases that are coming thanks to the fiscal cliff that is looming. And on a side note, all my shopping was done online, meaning I didn't have to deal with scores of idiots fighting over that one special toy that every kid wants Santa to drop down the chimney. I was also intelligent enough to pay off my credit card this month, meaning when everybody else has financial shock come January, I'll be able to relax knowing my bills are paid off. Dec '12 LGRepublican v About the same The Christmas budget has been about the same for the last several years. For us, it's more of a quality over quantity thing so instead of looking for ways to spend more, we look for better ways to spend what we have. e5 endorsed Post
Dec '12 Speedieg v More We're spending more, not on ourselves but for others. There are so many in need this year even in our family. We're making sure all the kids have a good Christmas. It's stuff they need as opposed to want but they'll be ok. B2 r2 replies e2 endorsed Post
Dec '12 Dan_Tien v Less Going to be spending less. In fact, I am planning to mug Santa Claus for gifts this year. e3 endorsed Post
u Dec '12 seedtick @srs606791163 No...my taxes are going up, my healthcare costs are increasing, food costs are sky high, gasoline costs twice as much as it did when BHO took office, my utility bills are up, my grandchildren will be in debt for the money this liberal progressive is spending, and the world is a much more dangerous place than it was four years ago. Remember this, when this president spends money and pushes big environmental or social programs he must take the money from somewhere. That somewhere is yours and my pockets...and the future labors of our children and grandchildren. B3 Post @seedtick
Dec '12 Knightkore v Less Fascinating...an economy that the progressive liberals are trying to STILL sell the American people on that it is better {or at least not as bad as we think and they tell would have been} and yet more people are going to be spending less this year or the same? Not really a good indicator...then again...looking at it in a progressive liberal view...it could be worse...the world could end...oh darn...12/21/12...oh well... r11 replies e2 endorsed Post
