Watching the political class bodge the fiscal cliff deal, you'd be forgiven for thinking lawmakers aren't moved by the same human concerns as the rest of us.

Buzzfeed attempts to prove politicians are human after all with a listicle of "17 Moments That Restored Our Faith In The Humanity Of Politicians This Year." 17 is probably optimstic - but we've rounded up five moments that suggest politicians aren't made of stone:

1. John Boehner wept as he hugged Gabby Giffords when she returned to the House floor for the last time. And Debbie Wasserman Schultz cried as she read her close friend Giffords' letter of resignation.

2. Obama used sign language to talk to a deaf student. "I am proud of you," the student signed to the president. Not missing a beat, Obama signed back: "Thank you."

3. Mitt Romney impulsively gave cash from his pocket to an unemployed woman on a rope line.

4. Senator Jon Tester, who's missing three fingers, met with a 7-year-old boy who was born without three fingers and told him that he "can be anything" he wants to be (pictured).

5. This list wouldn't be complete without mentioning one "very heroic" act: the time Newark Mayor Cory Booker ran into a burning building and carried his neighbor to safety, saving her life.

John Boehnor cries when he has his last cup of coffee (its all gone), when he puts on a sock and finds a hole, and when the tanning booths are closed. Barry was coached. Money means nothing to mitt. Tester forgot to say "except, if your a white male, which you are." Newark mayor booker probably owed her big, for clamming up about the mob hit.

It's a steep climb to see politicians' humanity during an election year.

These are isolated acts. Overall, I have zero faith in these 535 congressmen + 9 justices + 1 pres and 1 VP whom are in business for themselves and any actual benefit for the average person is purely coincidental.

It takes a certain type of person to be a politician often they are more aggressive and pompous, thats what it takes to actually believe you can make the right decision for several thousand of your peers,.. of course you'll have some symptoms of grandiosity..
I will say that of all the politicians I've been researching Cory Booker seems like he might be the closest thing to a Normal Citizen of the bunch, but i could be wrong..

@PoliticalSpice Use Occams Razor Politician's by nature are Self Preserving Creatures, Unwilling to put themselves or their Political agenda at risk, no matter the Consequences, be it Politically or Physically. Cory Booker ean into a burning building and saved a person, he's also attempting to live off the budget of a welfare recipient to see just how hard it is to live like those MUCH less fortunate than himself, I'd say that suggests he still holds a spark of his Humanity unlike most Politicians currently..

Politicians are panderers, period. Any voters that believe them, and there are many, are blind ignoramuses. They are really no different than business leaders and Hollywood actors that are so pompous and arrogant that they actually believe that they are smarter than most and therefore should dictate how those others should live their life.
