This monster of inefficiency and scandal and waste needs a complete house cleaning and the re-imposing of its' limitations as spelled out in the original purpose of this independent section. The Federal Reserve is not a government agency but has put the fear of God in every adult walking this planet. Woodrow Wilson bought into this gimmick in 1913, and it has grown in corruption ever since. How does it print money when there is no value to that money, and keeps printing it over and over again??? The reserves are used up and we live on foreign nations goodwill and are in debt to all of them.

Just who the heck would perform the audit? The General Accounting Office? They've got their hands full as it is not only auditing federal agencies but political subdivisions of states to ensure proper spending of federal grants, requests for grants, etc. How big do we want the federal government to get?

Anyone learn how the Secretary of treasury paid huge corporations and wall street out of their complete debacle. They were supposed to correct their wrongdoing, but they pocketed the money laughing all the way to the bank. He should never had any say in this matter or influence. If there were strict policy in place. Or had to answer to tax payers. Many families would have stayed in their homes. Credit card debt would have been corrected. It was praying on vulnerable citizens.

Well, since the first audit of the Federal Reserve in 100 years took place this year, I suppose the question is really "should the Federal Reserve be FULLY audited". The recent audit by the Government Accountability Office was only of the Federal Reserve Board's emergency authority which permits them to authorize broad-based programs and financial assistance to stabilize financial markets.
