u Apr '13 fraps v Yes, it brings more voices Maybe the first ammendment does not count. Supporters of McCain Feingold held that view even when it involved political speech. May they both be deemed scumbag traitors as well as those who voted for that law. Post
u Apr '13 Angry_man v No, they back US's enemies I don't want to hear their dang propaganda. We have enough people that hate Americans on TV now. Post
Apr '13 Thunderchicken v Yes, it brings more voices It'll be interesting but I'll bet they fold in five years if not less. Post
u Apr '13 BossTweed v Yes, it brings more voices CurrentTV is far more anti American than Al Jazerra. Better to have foreign ownership than Americans who want to bring America down. Post
Jan '13 MetaphorBreeze v No, they back US's enemies Oh Joy, a new slant, I cant wait to decipher more rhetoric. I mean its not as if simple truth from an unbiased source would work in our favor. Please, don't anybody find a way to cover that angle.. Post
Jan '13 honeybadger101 v No, they back US's enemies If you put Al Jazeera on American cable networks there is a chance that Al Queda and The Muslim Brotherhood could be secretly sending coded messages through broadcasts. Also if Al Jazeeras airs and lets say a Marine is captured and tortured and it shows Muslims in the streets burning the stars and stripes it could bring down morale on the home front. I'm all for private enterprise however i do not agree with private enterprise that supports our nations enemies. Post

Jan '13 reza v Yes, it brings more voices Maybe we'll get some REAL news instead of the constant celebrity crap that's today's substitute for news. Post
Jan '13 Ted_Rall v Yes, it brings more voices There is absolutely no reason for anybody, even people on the far right, to be against this. The only argument against them is that they want aired Osama bin Laden's videos. But hey, who can say that they weren't news? I have watched a lot of Al Jazeera English in the past and have found there coverage to be well above the standards that we are accustomed to with CNN, MSNBC and of course Fox news. r2 replies Post

o Jan '13 USailCapital @LikkerdySplit : MSDNC(aka MSNBC), NPR, and FOX and incredibly biased. Your point? If we deny Al Jazeera because of bias, shouldn't then also MSDNC, NPR, and FOX be taken off the air? @USailCapital Post
u Jan '13 bobrob v No, they back US's enemies This guy was a heartbeat from the presidency? He just gave the middle finger to America. The almighty dollar at times will expose a person's character, or lack thereof in this case. He could care less about his country. Post

u Jan '13 mountain-folk v Yes, it brings more voices Yes letâs have Al Jazeera so that we can see exactly what the Muslimâs best friend, Obama is doing to sell out America. We now see that the âSuper M&M, Marxist Muslims Obamaâ is going to send brand new up to date fighter air craft and the latest tanks to the government of Egypt, which is now run by Muslims who hate us personally and our freedom of belief in God or no belief. Remember M&M Obama sat for years in a so called church where they screamed âGod Dam Americaâ and hatred of white folks. Ask yourself, would you not just stand up and walk out of any place where they screamed âGod Dam Americaâ. Yes, lets hear from the people who hate us, if we had ... r1 reply Post
u Jan '13 Abraxas I don't think so , your opinion may be biased because they report from a different perspective. But this is what I read about the country of it's orgin. Qatar " Qatar has built intimate military ties with the United States, and is now the location of U.S. Central Commandâs Forward Headquarters and the Combined Air Operations Center." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qatar I think it gives us a new perspective that is welcome. After all fox news won the right to tell you outright lies. B1 @Abraxas Post

u Jan '13 Furface v No, they back US's enemies I am OK with this if FOX can install a News Station in the Middle East. This just proves that the Liberals are in great favor of unseating the USA as the Greatest Nation in the World, and that A Gore is a Hypocrite! r6 replies e6 endorsed Post
u Jan '13 IMAQT v I'm not sure Who cares? They are free to buy the network and I am free not to watch it. Freedom is indeed a wonderful thing. B1 e4 endorsed Post
Jan '13 Dude v No, they back US's enemies Al Gore wouldn't sell to an American (Glenn Beck) because he didn't like him or his views. But Gore is okay with a channel that is openly hostile to America's interests? Plus, even the New York Times admitted that Gore sold it when he did to avoid the extra taxes. And he sold it to a "news" group who is backed with oil money! This coming from someone who is always attacking oil as 'dirty" and damaging to the environment. Can you say HYPOCRITE?
