A Hillary Clinton movie is in the works
, if you can't not believe it, and it's all about the Secretary of State's early days as a young lawyer in the turbulent 1970s world of sex n' politics:
Dubbed 'Rodham,' the screenplay follows a 20-something Hillary Rodham as she's trying to decide between her career and boyfriend. Her job? The youngest attorney on the House Judiciary Committee working to impeach President Richard Nixon. Her boyfriend? Bill Clinton, who was trying to launch his political career in Arkansas.
The film, dubbed
the "#4 hottest unproduced movie in Hollywood" by those in the know, has prompted Gawker
just who should play the young Mrs. Clinton. In its typically snarky fashion, it suggests Lena Dunham
(not a terrible suggestion), but also Donald Glover (a terrible suggestion), who is in fact not
actor Danny Glover's son.
"The film is already in development by Temple Hill entertainment, the folks who brought us/wrought us both Breaking Dawn films," informs Gawker
's Caity Weaver. "Now it's time for casting."
