Not something else. BIAS. Plain and simple. The 90% pro-Liberal bias in most mainstream media and the 10% pro-Conservative bias in the remaining portion of mainstream media. Reporting should be objective, whether it concerns political issues or not. The worst offender is BBC where their correspondents often exhibit facial expressions and make remarks while presenting news stories that make you think they are delivering editorial opinions. Too many political writers don't rely on facts..... just subjective garbage. Ideology seems to permeate this cadre of writers from all perspectives: liberal, conservative, greenies, PETA. The gamut runs from the extreme to weird to crazy and character assassination with a few well-balanced, thoughtful articles. Political journalism is a contradiction.

The media had become as reliable as Internet op-Ed blogging. There is very little fact in their reporting, just talking points from the White House. So few people believe what the media says, that when something truly tragic happens, no one really stands up and takes notice. It is like the little boy that cried wolf.

Fox "News" is the poster child for biased reporting. When CNN and NBC send Richard Engle, Erin Burnett, Anderson Cooper et. Al to war zones to get the REAL story, Doocy, Gretchen and Brian stay on the couch and practice their "Bachmann faces." Then O'Reilly launches into some diatribe designed ONLY to outrage the right wingnuts and boost ratings.

I no longer watch NBC, CBS or ABC news because of their liberal bias. That is not only true in their newscast but also in other aspects of their programming (like their sitcoms). Call me crazy but that is why I love Duck Dynasty. There is absolutely no political agenda, just a nice clean family program that makes you forget about all the crap that is going wrong in our nation today!
