May 29 LEC v The Invisible War I hit this one because of the title... invisible, like where is the choice that I haven't watched any of them, cause I don't see them till either my sister buys them or the come on regular TV... Post
May 26 O_S_Thomas v Lincoln it's actually primarily aimed at politics and the workings of congress. Post
u May '13 tomincali v The Invisible War how about this documentary they come to america 1 and 2. http://www.theycometoamerica.com/ this shows what is being hidden from us at our borders and country. not just illegal mexicans, chinese and hazbalah are coming as well.,yet the medai and our governmnet refuses to mention it or stop it. Post
u May '13 awbaldridge v Django Unchained It's pure fantasy and holds little basis in historical reality, but I've always been a sucker for movies like this and "Taken", where you're able to see those who are subject to injustice fight their way to the top of their tormentors. Post
u May '13 URBS v Lincoln It was entertaining. Basically the typical biased line but entertaining. Was about as factual as Lincoln Vampire Killer. Post
o May '13 NoAmnestyEVER v Lincoln Really I wanted to say "2016" but it wasn't an option. If more people had seen it and realized what a monster they were voting for this country would be heading in the right direction. Sadly, every single one of this great movie's predictions has come true. Post

Jan '13 bsking v Django Unchained Anything that shows white people being murdered by a crazy black man is a sure winner Post
Jan '13 get_involved v Argo Why only 5 choices? There are more nominations than that! r2 replies e1 endorsed Post
u Apr '13 BossTweed Only listing what pass for Movies these days is an insult to the Movie Industry. I think "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" and the "Farmers Daughter" are the best political movies but the are many many more Classics. @BossTweed Post
May '13 Prime_Meridian @BossTweed Put me down for 'WAG THE DOG'. Because it's so true. Sorry, BossTweed. I didn't vote on the limited number of choices they had and I had to get on someone's post to cast my own 'vote'. @Prime_Meridian Post
Jan '13 harold_lloyd v The Invisible War Just kidding... How about "Seven Days in May" or "Dr. Strangelove" or "Pentagon Wars" e1 endorsed Post
Jan '13 ASmith v Django Unchained I didn't and won't see that movie, I only clicked on it because the others are CIA worship and historical revisionism - AND because this POS website won't allow comments without a vote. If you want to know what really happened in Iran, track down the 1981 movie, "Escape From Iran: The Canadian Caper". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- None of the five movies are worth seeing. "Filmmakers" are overly interested in "realism" - equipment, use of official buildings, etc. - and are willing to compromise their stories to get them made. Hollyweird movies based on actual events are rew... r3 replies e1 endorsed Post
u May '13 IMAQT My choice was Mr Smith goes to Washington and that also was not on the list. @IMAQT Post
u Jan '13 mountain-folk v Lincoln I guess I will watch Lincoln when it is on HBO or whatever. All of the movies are from the Obama Marxist Ministry of Truth and undoubtedly not worth the time except for the feeble minded. I would rather reread William Herndonâs bio of Lincoln or the thoughts of Robert Ingersol, about the war. Over a half million dead; misery for all both black and white, why? At least we bought Alaska and built the rail roads and made great engineering strides. B2 Post
Jan '13 scotta v Lincoln There is a President that all future ppdesidents. Need to use as a model Post
o Jan '13 thejimbo v Lincoln The story is set during the last 3 months of the Civil War, and the issue at hand is the passage of the 13th Amendment (abolishing slavery) and the ending of the war. Very well done, I felt like I learned a lot about politics and diplomacy of that era. Daniel Day Lewis is awesome as Lincoln, as is Sally Field as Mrs. Lincoln, David Strathairn (best known for Good Night and Good Luck) as Secretary of State William Seward and Tommy Lee Jones as Congressman Thaddeus Stevens. Stellar casting, and Speilberg brings a warmth and solemnity to the events in his directing. A superb 5/5 stars and I wouldn't be surprised if this brings home some Oscars. u Jan '13 AceLuby v Argo I prefer historical accuracy and Argo is the one that's most accurate to history. e6 endorsed Post
Jan '13 jessejaymes v Zero Dark Thirty I have seen all the movies listed here. My vote goes to zero dark thirty. I thought Django unchained was probably Tarento's best movie of his career but still not to the level of Zero Dark Thirty. Quite frankly I thought Lincoln is over hyped. Which means of course it will probably win. Still my vote went to Zero with Django second. B1 r3 replies e5 endorsed Post
u Jan '13 RobertJHarsh v Django Unchained I selected Django Unchained because it looks the most entertaining. But it, like the rest of the list, is all revisionist trash, with almost no bearing on real life or actual events. B1 r1 reply e4 endorsed Post

Jan '13 Food4thoughts v Lincoln Slightly biased...only film I've seen out of the bunch...Daniel Day Lewis was superb...Tommy lee was a pretty good Thaddeus to boot...Sally fields...is it just me or did her shoulders look a little hulk hoganish? B1 e1 endorsed Post
