Similar unpopularity is afflicting other Obamacare repeal bills introduced this year, including this from Rep. Steve King and this from Rep. Scott Garrett. By contrast, this time last year, Eric Cantor's bill to repeal Obamacare garnered 182 co-sponsors.
Obamacare repeal bills were always purely symbolic, since the bills have no chance of passing the Senate or being signed by Obama. The 33rd such bill was passed in the House last July.
Voting on the repeal bills has so far cost taxpayers $50 million. But for those who oppose Obamacare, $50 million may seem a small price to pay in fighting a law they believe will cost America much, much more.
