I for one am Glad to see Fox hiring more Democrats, it would be nice if MSLSD or the Commie News Network (CNN) would hire more right-leaning talking heads and become more balanced. Good for Fox News...
  • !
@woodtick57 Compared to the other so-called "news" outlets? Nah, if anything it just makes Fox more balanced than the rest of em'
  • !
Micheal Steele, the former chairman of the RNC, is a regular talking head on MSNBC. Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman, hosts the primary morning news show on MSNBC. They are treated with respect and politeness by the other pundits and hosts on the channel.
Kucinich will be treated real nice when he is criticizing Obama. Once he starts expressing his views, however, he will be treated with a level of rudeness you would only find on Howard Stern prior to Fox "news" going live. How do I know? Because they are disrespectful to every moderate and liberal they interview. Hell they are even disrespectful to the Republicans who aren't bat crap crazy.
  • !
@woodtick57 No, adding right wing talking heads to MSLSD and/or CNN would make them more balanced, meaning they could be called "news" channels once again...Fox is already balanced compared to the other networks. And they broadcast actual news during the day, not talking fests like MSLSD or CNN.

I hope anyone who believes this is either good or bad first understands that ALL the news networks exist for one thing (and ONE thing only).....the almighty dollar! Elevated viewership leads to increased advertisement which leads to mo' money....now, gimme a subject that matters.....next!
  • !
Let's not forget Bob Beckel, except some Dems see him as a bad example just like some Republicans and Glenn Beck. Geraldo, and Juan Williams...but all those are just "token" hires, because you know, Fox is the only network who pretends NOT to be biased./sarcasm

Yes it is the only fair and balanced news, I'm not interested in the other censered news outlets, just tell me the news without someone else deciding what I do or don't need to know

    @woodtick57
I know right? I mean when we have Americans getting killed in Libya instead of trying to get answers the Obama news thought it was more important to cover 2 people having an affair! The sad part was half the people were more interested in that, CNN competes with " that's entertainment " and Extra, I guess it's news to some people but I don't really care who's dating who or who cheated on who, I'm more concerned with important things in life

The GOP ( oops I mean the Fox network) is desperate to change the public perception of them. But who knows? Maybe it a lame attempt to show a bi-partisan approach to their "news" shows. Maybe they deem Kucinich as weak and plan to badger him. I will know more when I see his actual role.

It sorta like Public Enemy being a political rap group and then sticking Flava Flav with that huge clock around his neck on stage. Comic relief.

Contrary to popular myth. Fox has always had Democrats to present their side. The only people who believe otherwise have never watched. I quit watchig some years ago because the Democrats they featured were never polite, talking and yelling over the conservatives and hogging the time. Kucinich will be no different. I'll get my news from the web, thank you. LOL Guess this means the lobbyists didn't want him.
  • !
"... the Democrats they featured were never polite, talking and yelling over the conservatives and hogging the time." Why do you think Fox chose them? And now they hire Kucinich, a politician who actually went on record as claiming he saw a UFO. Count on it: they'll make him a laughingstock. They wouldn't dare put an actual thinking Democrat or Libertarian on their "show."
  • !
@Denizen_Kate Wow. We are talking about people like Anthony Weiner, Ellen Ratner, Bernie Sanders, Lanny Davis, Ed Rendell, Bill Nelson, Cynthia McKinney, Daschle, Gephardt, a wide range of elected officials and commentators. Are you telling me these people don't think?
  • !
@Realthinker - Most of the "liberals" Fox has on their channel (and I'm speaking from very little experience here since I don't tune in to any of them much) have been as far left as they can find, and prone to ridiculousness (Anthony Weiner? Seriously? That's your idea of a thinking liberal?). It would be like MSNBC announcing that they've hired Todd Akin.
  • !
@Denizen_Kate LOL I also named a former governor, two former Senate and House leaders. I would assume most Democrats considered them thinkers since their colleagues in both chambers elected them.

Ignore the parties. They're just there to give us the illusion of choice. The government, in no way, represents the best interests of the people of America. Tel-Lie-Vision is owned by a half dozen corporations to tell us what to think, controlled by a very small group of people who think they own us. Their purpose is to give us the delusion of reality most are willing to accept.

I'm happy to see this prominent democrat continue to have a venue for the left's viewpoint. Fox has always employed a lot of liberals (most of their news anchors are lefties) and this continues that tradition.

Plus, it seems to really, really annoy some folks.***smirk***
  • !
Fox News has always been fair and balanced. The reason the left is constantly whining that it isn't is because they had become so used to having total control of new outlets that anything even resembling the center had become "far right".
  • !
@Zazziness No problem. I've long understood that leftists feel nothing but scorn for any display of independent thought not in lock-step with leftist ideology.
  • !
    @CaryNickel

That's pretty ironic since Fox is always front and center in promulgating the locvkstep talking points of the far right...they even talk about promoting them openly...
  • !
@CaryNickel Naw, that's not it. The scorn if for those who embrace truthiness instead of truth. Like those who think Fox News is in the center. Hehe. God, stop. My ribs are hurting. hahahaha.
  • !
@CaryNickel You know I war daily on here with both the left and right. I can't think of more than a handful of others who post here who would come close to being as moderate as myself. And Fox is not even in the parking lot of the stadium much on the field of being moderate.

@Russell797 No, it's in the center. The reason people think it's conservative is because their frame of reference is messed up. Do you think CNN and ABC are in the center? They aren't. They're liberal.
  • !
@Russell797 And, regardless, this editor here shouldn't imply that Fox is biased in his subtitle, he should simply give the facts.
  • !
@Politicskid So, only liberal's frame of reference is messed up?
Look, Fox news rails against the science of climate change at every turn. That's not centrist, it right wing conservatism speaking. Conservative are anti-science. Fox News is anti-science, catering instead to religious fundamentalists.

Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, told reporters today,“We need to welcome people who believe in different things than we do, like math and science.”

Please keep in mind the Glenn Beck, when pressed about the incredible nonsense he spews, insists he is only an entertainer *not* a news show.
  • !
@Zazziness oh, he is entertaining. But he is also informative and he backs up what he says with facts just as michelle malkin does. I have listened to him for years. Have you?
  • !
@Mia No, he doesn't back up what he says with facts. He's been debunked so often there is no problem Googling lots of examples on the internet. But, most importantly, *he says* he is just entertaining and not to be taken seriously. I'd take his word for it.
  • !
@Zazziness Beck isnt for everyone. You probably wouldnt appreciate him. You have to have an open mind, a sense of humor and a desire to learn. But if you decide to decide for yourself, he is on dish on the blaze network.
  • !
Come on now. Kucinich is so irrelevant to the Dem party he couldn't find a job in the "lamestream media" This is about a job and nothing more. Follow the money, always follow the money.
