Retired congressman Dennis Kucinich is moving on to redder pastures,
reports The Huffington Post, by jumping aboard the good ship FOX.
The long-serving Democrat and leftist gadfly will begin his stint with the conservative news outlet Thursday as a regular contributor, in a move FOX head Roger Ailes thinks will deliver a "valuable voice" to the nation's political discussion. Kucinich concurs:
"Fox News has always provided me with an opportunity to share my perspective with its enormous viewership," he said.
So does this mark a shift in FOX's politics? Not likely,
says Addicting Info's Wendy Gittleson, who sees the Kucinich add as a way of attacking the Obama administration from the left.
"Fox News...has become a full-time Obama attack machine," she writes. "Kucinich will offer enough anti-Obama rhetoric to please Fox shareholders and many angry liberals."
