Rand Paul says the president has a "king complex," and he's planning legislation to prevent an "Obama monarchy." Specifically, Paul is proposing a bill to overturn Obama's recent executive orders on gun control.
"I'm afraid that President Obama may have this 'king complex' sort of developing, and we're going to make sure it doesn't happen," Paul told Sean Hannity on Wednesday.
Paul added that his bill would "nullify anything the president does that smacks of legislation." In addition, it will prevent federal funding for Obama's actions, and allow them to be challenged by Congress members and states.
Since Paul released details of his bill on Tuesday, before Obama had announced his executive actions on Wednesday, presumably he didn't know which of Obama's orders would count as unconstitutional lawmaking - if any.
