Obama Campaign to Relaunch As Advocacy Group

Set up like Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS

President Barack Obama's reelection campaign will morph into a nonprofit advocacy group to promote his second term agenda, news reports say.

The new organization, called Organizing for Action, will be a nonprofit, tax-exempt group that can accept unlimited donations without having to disclose its donors. The group is set up in the same way as Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS and the Koch brothers-backed Americans for Prosperity, which Democrats bashed as "dark money groups" during the 2012 presidential campaign.

The decision could be criticized for going against the president's stated desire for more transparency. But Obama's group plans to reveal its donors voluntarily. It will accept money only from individuals and corporations and not lobbyists or political action committiees, NBC reports.

Setting the group up as a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt advocacy group allows members to meet and coordinate with members of the White House, which it couldn't do as a super-PAC.

Hopefully Obama's group is NOT like Rove's Crossroad's GPS.. Remember Rove's hissy fit on Fox election eve. Crossroads where workers couldn't access their data base because passwords failed Duh? I believe that the point you've missed is that the Presidents' group is allowing full disclosure of their donors whereas the GOP is infamously notorious for vehemently denying ANY disclosure whatsoever of those that contribute to their campaigns...BIG difference.

Rep. Serrano of NY introduced H.J. Resolution 15, and a similar Bill is being discussed in the House, which is directly proposing the appeal of the 22nd Amendment; effectively allowing a president to stay in office indefinitely.

This president has desires to become Czar Obama. And, I do not seen him easily ceding power. his arrogance prevents him from even entertaining the notion that he is not the Messiah. even more disheartening is the fact that apparently a great deal of our uninformed, apathetic public seems to agree.
