'I Did It': Obama Sworn in For Four More Years

It's official: President Obama was sworn in for a second term at a private ceremony this morning.

Obama took the oath administered by Chief Justice John Roberts: "I Barack Hussein Obama do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The public ceremony will happen at the Capitol on Monday. The private ceremony took place today because presidential terms begin on Jan 20, but traditionally if the 20th falls on a Sunday, the public shindig is deferred until Monday.

After he was sworn in, Obama hugged his daughters. Sasha, 11, said "good job daddy." Obama replied, "I did it," and she responded, "you didn't mess up."

You'll have to get the govt gimmedats you'll need to keep you and your family fed because there won't be any jobs.

    Before you sign up to what this man is offering, please open up a history book for how men like Obama do the countries they lead. You'll likely be quite surprised. Start with a man named Mao.

    I will celebrate Obama's second term by tormenting right wingers on Politix, pretty much like I try to do everyday. Congrats to President Obama. Great job and good luck on the next four years.

    Congrats to the President and his voting base. The process of our great Constitution took place and we were given another president. I respect the process, I respect his office, though I will admit I'm not a fan.
    I hope over the next four years he will do whatever he can to get rid of the Patriot Act, NDAA 12 and restore Liberties that are being pillaged by the Government every day. Somehow I doubt that will happen though and that saddens me.

    Yes, I agree,....congrat's he won.
    He's done pretty much nothing but campaign since 2006!
    Maybe he will actually take the next four years to stop campaigning, and vacationing to do the job he was elected to do.
    I can understand why you liberals are so excited. Four more years for you to not contribute, and get money for nothing!!

Although I wasn't a huge fan of Bush's 2nd term , I promised I would give our Indonesian , marxist pres. the same respect the pablum puking, whining lib-bats afforded Mr. Bush . As far as watching his smug, elitist ass on TV , " I wouldn't cross the street & pee in his mouth if his teeth were on fire !" I just bet the leftie loonies love that , huh , don't they , huh ? LOL

    I would have much rather have seen Romney sworn in today. But you're correct. ObamaCo has divided this nation into a patchwork of welfare trash blaming white men for their gimmedat existence yet will do nothing to fix themselves except vote for Democrats that will continue to keep the welfare flowing. Today is another milestone towards the end of America.

    Well, I was gonna go, but, ole Obama forgot to mail out my invite. Thought real hard about crashing his shindig.....but then decided somebodies gotta work.....and since he's partying.....then it would have to be me! He did call me and promised to save me some cake, but, I told him "ahh, have your cake and eat it to". Hey, Barry, don't forget the tequila shooters (be care when you do say "shooter" around him though).

    @Fishbone345 FDR, of course, had all those terms. In 2009, the Chief Justice flubbed the oath, remember, and so it was re-administered. The President kept his Constitutional duty and was sworn in today. He'll do it again tomorrow. That's 4. This will be a great bar bet in a hundred years.

    Not likely. I didn't vote for him either election. I only watched the first time for the sake of history being made. Now it's just sad and depressing for this country and I have spotted him as a liar. How can he be sworn in to protect the constitution when he's trying to destroy it? Him and his wife both show disrespect for this country by talking bad about it to other countries leaders. This is a sad time for America.

    Yup he did it. He got through the swearing in without messing-up.

    This is a great day for America, and Obama re-election shows just how far this nation has ascended, but we still have miles to go before we rest.

    @WMCOL I used to be a Liberal, I know the bias and discrimination that comes with it. What people don't realize is in the process they lose the ideals they thought they represented. Intellectually, there is a massive perversion of ideas and ideals that has been perpetuated in America far too long. My problem is that so many so called educated liberals just don't understand that they've lost their ideals in a swarm of misinformation.
