Nevada Democrat Steve Brooks is in jail, arrested after he allegedly threatened to shoot the Speaker-elect of the Nevada state legislature, also a Democrat.

According to anonymous police sources, Brooks was arrested with a loaded gun on him after he made the threats. He was charged with a felony - intimidating a public officer with physical force - and bail was set at $100,000, the city jail's website reveals.

If he's convicted, Brooks would lose his right to own a firearm. In Nevada it's illegal for anyone with a felony conviction to own a gun.

According to Democratic sources, Brooks was angry about the committee assignments he'd received from the Speaker-elect, Marilyn Kirkpatrick. His behavior had already been flagged as "erratic" and was being monitored by Democratic leadership, sources told the Las Vegas Sun.

Brooks represents the northern edge of Las Vegas.

Wow! Well last night a coworker showed me some stats on the last 5 mass shootings, and I was stunned.

Ft Hood- shooter was a registered democrat

Columbine- shooter was too young to vote, but both families are registered democrats and progressive liberals

Virginia Tech- wrote hate mail to Pres Bush and his staff

Colorado movie theatre- reg. Democrat, staff worker on Obama campaign, participant Occupy Wallstreet, and progressive liberal

Connecticut - reg. Democrat and hated Christians.

Have "we" become this ignorant to believe that we can publicly threaten someone with violence? Are we seeing evolution in reverse or is it possible we have never really evolved? Maybe it's true.....you can lead an animal to water, but, you can't make them think!
Hope this man gets both his felony conviction AND mentally imbalanced evaluation....then tattooed across the forehead "NO GUN 4 ME FOREVER".
