It matters in the sense that if that attack had been prompted by the short, independently produced video on Muhammad, the Administration had an 'out' on not being prepared for the destruction of the Consulate and the murder of 4 Americans, given the relatively brief period of time between the video going 'viral' and the attack. I'm curious as to why there was no outcry at any of the 53 attacks on diplomatic missions or the 13 people killed in those attacks, all of which happened on Bush43s watch? There were three hearings about those, compared to nine so far over Benghazi. What responsibility does congress have for cutting the security budget for state dept security? Why would a number of republicans rather talk about Benghazi than actually help govern the nation?

I want the truth. If the State Department screwed up, I want them to come out and say it. We deserve the truth. Why didn't the 0bama Regime and Clinton Statist Department provide for the requested additional security when Ambassador Christ Stevens asked. It's still a terrorist attack regardless. It's still America's fault these people were radicalized, whether it was a video one person made because of religious bigotry, or blowback from our purposeless wars with Islamic countries. The latter actually leaves us more at fault. Every action made has consequences. No matter what way you look at it, those four people's lives are consequences of our actions.

Not only does the genesis of the attack matter, so does the misinformation, the security arrangements, the defense of the compound, the alleged arms dealings, and the apparent cover up. Things like these also mattered in Fast and Furious too. This administration appears to be more corrupt than they would ever admit. And we were stupid enough to reelect them. For me, retirement outside the U.S. is becoming more worth checking into.
