Newt Gingrich is telling his fellow Republicans that they can help shed the
Debbie Downer vibe they allegedly put out by appearing a whole lot happier. And they can start by featuring on popular TV shows, just like he does.
"We need to find a thousand ways to be happy...I was just on Parks and Recreation," said Gingrich, as
reported by
BuzzFeed. He also waxed boastful about his appearance on the "Tonight Show" last July, which was followed by wife Callista's sending Snooki, of "Jersey Shore" fame, a stuffed elephant.
And why not? Snooki described her husband as "
cute and nice" after all, a comment that was apparently taken as purely diplomatic by Newt's main squeeze.
Gingrich warned Republicans that 47%-style
remarks are an obstruction to the GOP becoming the "governing party of America," and are to be avoided at all costs.
"I would like to say to every consultant in the party: If you think you are going to target less than 100 percent of the country you're not going to get any of our business," stated Gingrich.
