Obama's Gun Laws 'Outlaw Christmas at the Kings,' Says Rep. King
Universal background check would hamper gun-giving

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) is taking a stand for gun-gifters everywhere.
He's outraged at various aspects of the new gun control law announced by Sen. Diane Feinstein on Tuesday, especially its limit on high-capacity magazines, which he regards as a slippery slope towards single-shot weapons only.
But King is even more het up about the coming push for a universal background check, proposed by Obama last week.
"That would mean that every transaction on guns in America would have to be approved by a federally licensed firearm dealer," King pointed out. "That would mean that Christmas at the Kings would be outlawed unless one of us got a federal firearms license. If we want to trade guns or buy one for each other, it can't change hands without having the universal registration component of that. So I'm concerned about that from a constitutional perspective."
King revealed his own motto when it comes to gun control: "Constitutional first, prudent second."
