Obama and Clinton Enjoy a Lovefest on 60 Minutes

They weren't always such mutual fans

President Obama and Hillary Clinton gave a truly stunning interview on Sunday's 60 Minutes. It was stunning mainly because of the lavish praise they heaped on each other – which contrasts amusingly with moments from their cutthroat 2008 primary battle.

Among the interview's highlights: Clinton "was already a world figure" when he chose her as Sec. of State, Obama said. "It has been a great collaboration over the last four years. I'm going to miss her. Wish she was sticking around."

By contrast, in 2008 Obama told Hillary dismissively, "you're likable enough." Clinton meanwhile compared Barack to George W. Bush and cried "shame on you, Barack Obama."

The "60 Minutes with Obama" program was on as usual, just one more reason why we no longer watch it, it's just a shill for Obama and when the opportunity to ask even a moderate question arose, we got the likes of "So, how do you like being president, really, really, really a lot or just really, really a lot?" and then we got, "And how much to you like Hillary Clinton, a whole big lot, a really big lot or more than even Santa?" followed by a really hard question, "Do you and Hillary have any difference of opinion, by a little bit, by a teeny bit or not at all?". Give me a break, I used to enjoy 60 Minutes, but when Romney was on all they did was drill him on why his boys did not volunteer for military service, has anyone, anywhere ever asked Obama why he didn't sign up? Noooooo, and if he had 107 boys of military age, they wouldn't have asked him that question. They are just one more formerly intelligent and interesting news show that has turned into a worship machine for Obama. Boring, really boring.

Tralee, have you gone crazy? Now you know if obama had sons military age he wouldn't let them join the military. He already said he'd be scared to death to watch them play football in the backyard. What I can't understand is how any soldier could follow obama's lead when he can't even stomach a game of football. War is truly a man's sport and we see that with Benghazi that obama is not the man to handle it.

As a young Hospital Corpsman assigned to Navy Regional Medical Center San Diego I was working in the ICU when the POWS from the North Vietnamese tiger cages began to arrive. I was never in a combat unit, but I sure as hell cared for enough victims of your "sport" to tell you that is the most despicable comment you've made. I now wish there was a "block" button, just for you.

Once you reach your Constitutional limit on presidential inaugurations, you can now praise all previous opponents from your own party. All those comments that criticized each other were only in the heat of the battle and weren't true.
