President Obama and Hillary Clinton gave a truly stunning interview on Sunday's 60 Minutes. It was stunning mainly because of the lavish praise they heaped on each other – which contrasts amusingly with moments from their cutthroat 2008 primary battle.
Among the interview's highlights: Clinton "was already a world figure" when he chose her as Sec. of State, Obama said. "It has been a great collaboration over the last four years. I'm going to miss her. Wish she was sticking around."
By contrast, in 2008 Obama told Hillary dismissively, "you're likable enough." Clinton meanwhile compared Barack to George W. Bush and cried "shame on you, Barack Obama."
ABC has put together a fun matchup of clips contrasting Hillary and Obama during their bitter 2008 matchup vs. their apparently warm relationship now:
She certainly has The bowels of the Tea Party, GOP, Rush & Fox in an uproar. They redefine running scared already .. Who could beat her, Eddie Munster Ryan? Jindal ? Christie who would never be nominated??
The "60 Minutes with Obama" program was on as usual, just one more reason why we no longer watch it, it's just a shill for Obama and when the opportunity to ask even a moderate question arose, we got the likes of "So, how do you like being president, really, really, really a lot or just really, really a lot?" and then we got, "And how much to you like Hillary Clinton, a whole big lot, a really big lot or more than even Santa?" followed by a really hard question, "Do you and Hillary have any difference of opinion, by a little bit, by a teeny bit or not at all?". Give me a break, I used to enjoy 60 Minutes, but when Romney was on all they did was drill him on why his boys did not volunteer for military service, has anyone, anywhere ever asked Obama why he didn't sign up? Noooooo, and if he had 107 boys of military age, they wouldn't have asked him that question. They are just one more formerly intelligent and interesting news show that has turned into a worship machine for Obama. Boring, really boring.
Tralee, have you gone crazy? Now you know if obama had sons military age he wouldn't let them join the military. He already said he'd be scared to death to watch them play football in the backyard. What I can't understand is how any soldier could follow obama's lead when he can't even stomach a game of football. War is truly a man's sport and we see that with Benghazi that obama is not the man to handle it.
@Neo_NtheMatrix "War is truly a man's sport " Oh, my, and here I thought you couldn't say anything to shock me. "Sport?"
As a young Hospital Corpsman assigned to Navy Regional Medical Center San Diego I was working in the ICU when the POWS from the North Vietnamese tiger cages began to arrive. I was never in a combat unit, but I sure as hell cared for enough victims of your "sport" to tell you that is the most despicable comment you've made. I now wish there was a "block" button, just for you.
On a side note, has anyone noticed how old obama and Hillary look these days, especially Hillary? Wow. Now is the time to get out of politics Hillary. Being a lying liberal ages you faster than cheap liquor.
Once you reach your Constitutional limit on presidential inaugurations, you can now praise all previous opponents from your own party. All those comments that criticized each other were only in the heat of the battle and weren't true. What I'm trying to say is.....they are both (along with all true democrats and republicans) irresponsible, lying, cheating criminals and none should never, ever be re-elected again! There, I feel better! RE-ELECT NOBODY 2014 &2016
Why dont republicans have anything mature to say? Ever. "Oh I disagree with your political opinions, excuse me while I assinate your character and berate you for no reason." Your party would fair well to do an entire overhaul. Nip all the childishness, and cattyness, absurd witch hunts in the bud and maybe you will win an election with people who have common decency.
@Politicskid I believe that most republicans isolate themselves from the rest of america...they believe they are in a political country club full of elitist hypocritical and unsympathetic individuals that finally feel that their priviledges are being threatened...maybe that is a stereotype..maybe its rooted in fact..idk..its just my humble opinion. im just rooting for the day that america is not ran by the 1% but by the 47%...and the day when our govt represents all of the demographics in our great nation..then we will be unified...until then the GOP needs to stop grasping for straws
Hillary is another neo-con. I don't trust her. She was the one who voted for the Iraq War and strongly support war in Libya. If she wins the Dem nominate I vote third party in 2016 like I did this election.
It's called pay back for covering up all Obama's scandals. it's called furthering his transformation of America through another four years of a Liberal Clinton running this nation. It is called everything wrong with this nation and the corrupt phony politics. It is called a corrupt Liberal media never asking them one tough question about 4 good men being killed by terrorists and the lies that ensued. Then we hear Hillary screaming "WHO CARES HOW IT HAPPENED" and 60 minutes said NOTHING!
