Most of this country's prison population are Democrats, does not surprise me at all. It shows the total disrespect that they have for the law and how they think they are above it. It's good to run with your pack, though.
  • !
@Your_Name_Here - Really? How do you know that people in jail are democrats? Where did you get that information? Or is that just wishful thinking because your party is pure as the driven snow, right?

@Mogal Thanks for your question to back up your baseless position.

Google, Bing or Yahoo would like you to consider using their services.

@DogLady_1 - well at least your response wasn't disrepectful. There are 2 ways you can go about this. Exit polling from former fellons (3 out of 4 vote democrat) or logical reasoning as follows: A large percentage of felons are black (say 50%) and black people are overwhelmingly democrats (say 90%).

HMMM......is it me or is something about this story sound fishy? I don't see being arrested for "trying" to vote the second time unless she made some sort of "effort" demanding to vote a second time. Hey, I know some people are so "absent minded" that they wear 2 pairs of undies because they forgot they put on the first pair (and no, that isn't me...K)

I feel I've come to know you over the months (almost year) that we've been on Politix. So with that, I want to give you some helpful advice. Right now, you already have some undies on, plus you have on pants. No need to put more undies on over top of the pants you're wearing. Just a tip from your friendly neighborhood Republican. You may carry on as normally scheduled.

What this womans set out to prove was that it was easy to commit voter fraud when you don't need an ID to vote. She tried to vote twice got caught and proved just the opposite. There is no need for voter ID laws other than to disfranchise poor and elderly voters. That's why it is always the republicans that push for it. They can not win elections based on the issues so they try to gerrymander, disfranchise and make it difficult to vote for people that tend to vote overwhelmingly democratic. Remember - teh dems got 1.4M more congressional votes than the reps in the last election. If things were done fairly the dems would control the house too. We are seeing the last gasps of a dying GOP.

Not at all. First she does it where there's no voter ID law in place, so she got the issue of the ID law backwards. You still have to register AT the voting site, ID or not. Once you are registered your are IN the system ( then look for tax audits and jury duty). Secondly, she didn't realize that voter fraud is primarily for first vote- not second. But then again, she's a repub, so her confusion regarding an issue of controversy is expected, especially after this week when the GOP was foolishly trying to blame the Dem's for voter fraud and disenfranchising.( sore losers abound still from the presidential election) Maybe in actuality she was trying to change her vote to democrat, and used the "fraud" things as a lame excuse.

Despite all the charges of rigged elections I've only seen two cases of voter fraud, some republican elected official, and this idiot. Show me evidence of boter fraud other then republicans instead of unsupported claims...

It should have taught her a lesson since SHE GOT CAUGHT!! If she was going to attempt this, she should have informed authorities and had their permission to do so BEFORE she committed a crime...

Why doesn't MN have that kind of database? We have 3 ring binders at each polling location. They were open with checks next to each person who already voted and you could just look down and pick a name. When I voted in November the polling judge couldn't find my name and I looked down and said "there I am" and pointed to my name. With no questions asked, she gave me a slip which I took to receive my ballot. It did not inspire confidence in our system.
  • !
Next election, go to the wrong precinct and tell the poll worker that you forgot where you were supposed to vote, and I guarantee you he/she will be able to tell you within minutes where you are supposed to vote... If your name is not in their book, it is listed in another book they have... or they can quickly ascertain where you are supposed to be when you give your address to them. If you have no confidence in this system, do you also believe that all past elections could have been wrong? Don't you think that voters would have noticed that before 200+ years of elections?
  • !
@DogLady_1 you completely ignored what I said about pointing at the open book and saying "that is me".

P.S. You think every MN polling location has a book with all 3.1 million registered voters in it?
  • !
@Yank - If there is ever a time that you walk into your polling place and see that your name is already checked off, and you did not vote, you can file an affadavit ballott and the matter would be remedied... and I think you completely ignored what I said: If no book is available, then "they can quickly ascertain where you are supposed to be when you give your address to them." Pollworkers know how to communicate with the clerk's office... and they know how to determine where a person is supposed to vote. They do it all the time because we have people going to the wrong precincts all the time... In my state, the pollworkers have the entire voter registration database on a laptop computer... does MN not have such amenities?
  • !
@Yank actually, each book is the list of all the people who are registered to vote in a certain location (ward) and it goes by the voter's home address... and normally the people working at each voting location know, pretty much who belongs there by name... they're all neighbors.
  • !
@dances-weebles do you live in a rural area? Major metropolitan areas have thousands of people in each voting district. It is odd that people are actually defending the laxness of the MN voting system.

@DerivePI Electioneering is illegal, however, that is not an election poster from what I can tell. Probably why it is such a small picture and out of focus. So, I'll ask again, what about that article is breaking the law?
  • !
This women was being STUPID! Voter ID does not prevent voter fraud anyway... the only way that can happen is for our county clerks to better maintain their voter rolls. Most "voter fraud" has turned out to be no more than clerical errors... and voter ID has no impact at all on the worse form of fraud, ie. "election" fraud, whereby the candidates themselves corrupt the system or rig elections. Voter ID is just "feel good" legislation...
  • !
YES,she has proved to me that republican's have been doing this all along ,she just got caught, she made all of this other stuff up to justify getting caught.
  • !
Wow, looks like the system worked the way it was supposed to... no wonder there are so few cases of voter fraud. Good thing we're spending so much time on this 'widespread issue' and not focusing on Rome collapsing around us. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
  • !
Should've come to West Virginia ... we apparently have deceased people who vote ... lol. No ID checks either ... just give them a name and they cross it off a piece of paper ... no database to cross check!
  • !
no, places like ca where illegal aliens work the polls and other places where the workers do not pay attention. then again nothing is checked here when registering. seems more like a fake set up.
