Al Qaeda Threatens 'Shocking' Attack

The group promises harm upon the nations aiding the French in Mali

Al Qaeda has issued a new threat against the US and other western nations, reports the Washington Times, and this time - not unlike most times - the language involved is vivid.

At a post on a jihadist website entitled "Map of Al Qaeda and its future strikes," the group promises a "shocking" attack that will be no less than "strong, serious, alarming, earth-shattering, and terrifying." The goal is to intimidate the countries currently aiding French forces in Mali; namely America - the "land of nonbelief" - but also Denmark and the handful of other nations attempting to root out radical Islamist forces in north Africa.

The threat further promises the attacks will consist of "group and lone-wolf operations," and will include "booby-trapped vehicles."

But while the threat reads ominously enough, one US official explained that such talk is nothing new: "Extremists regularly make threats online; this one is not particularly unusual, but of course should be taken seriously."

Why cant anyone accept that AL CIA DA is owned and operated by our own government. It will be another false flag attack because no country in their right mind would attempt it. So our own government does it for them.
This country needs to wake up and realize the enemy is in DC not some rag head hiding in a cave somewhere.

Why not test your theory by making a fact finding trip to the Peshawar Valley in Pakistan? Al Qaeda is not a country, and your idea of being in your "right mind" is different from a jihadist who believes he will go to Paradise if he dies while fighting the infidels, which is us.

@Dan_Tien ...the "Jihad" is but a symptom of an overall problem that goes much deeper than beliefs in gods, paradise and such, that is just used by the puppet masters on their side, no different than here...obviously this "shock and awe" campaign isn't winning us any love in the world, but I'm not sure those with so-called "real" interest give a damn...

That Al Qaeda wishes us ill should come as a surprise to no one. I would expect that eliminating them as a threat will take decades, so I think the probability of another successful attack is high.

But you do realize that every one of those jets and tanks have little micro chips in them with which we can listen in, control, even destroy the plane or tank.
So while we can hit the kill switch and stop the attack, we can also attack ourselves. Such moral decisions to make, be good or abuse ourselves.

Yes, we should all be concerned, especially since we have an administration this time that will seek to place "blame" instead of responding. No doubt the story line will be something along the lines that the "Al Queda only hates us and bring these attacks upon America because of the Republican right. If Liberals were in power all through the past and forever in the future, then Al Queda will be our friends and never seek to harm America. It is only because we have Republicans that these radical Muslims do not like us. Purge the Republicans and the world will be a happy place." I expect almost those exact same words out of the mouth of "Snarly Jay" Carney if something happens. So...the white house response will be another attack on Republicans, no real action, which will only encourage more terrorist attacks. Actually, they won't even be called terrorist attacks, the Liberal spin will be something like an "unforeseen human caused event". Sad but true.
