I would love to see Hillary run and win the Presidency in 2016. She is by far and away the most qualified of all of the people mentioned as possible candidates. I wonder where the conservatives will threaten to move to if she gets elected?
  • !
I agree. Personally, I want to see Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson as her running mate, as he would be HUGE for education and science progress. Plus, he'd bring in the black vote, which usually entails a large portion of the Latino vote following the black. He'd bring in the centrists and independents in his avid wish for spending and spending habits based on common sense and actual needs, rather than lasting knee-jerk reactions (see his views on how NASA should be funded, for example). He could possibly attract /true/ Republicans with the fact that though he would lobby for social programs, that they would need to actually work, rather than 'appear to work.' Couple all that with the older white folks and the women that Hillary would bring in in droves, not to mention youth who would get just as fired up for her as they did for the 'first African-American president,' and you'd win for sure.

But then again, I'm one for pipe dreams. But a guy can hope, can't he?

@CanadianIndy She has been first lady of Arkansas, First Lady of the United States, Senator from New Yorl and Secretary of State. Hard to imagine anyone more qualified.

@NTBFW "She is a horrible person." - No. Rush Limbaugh is a horrible person. Ann Coulter is a horrible person. Glenn Beck is a horrible person. Sean Hannity is a horrible person. Ted Nugent is a horrible person. Hillary Clinton is a very competent, very capable and very accomplished person.

@MaxPain Way to win over the Ky voters by calling us bigoted names like "redneck". This is why she doesn't have a chance in hell, as the poll states.
  • !
@No_Bama you know if the phony bitch does run (ech!!) she'll just change her accent to fit in with us "rednecks" You know how she turns on the phony black voice!!

HMMM.....once again....it's 4 years from now. In 2004, I want a show of hands (except IL.) on who knew the name of Barrack Obama?(I don't see any hands). In 4 years, all kinds of things could happen....including the fact the Ms. Clinton is now out of the public's eye. Take this poll 6 months from now and the fickle American (low informational) voter will probably say...."Hillary who?"
  • !
I actually had a conversation with a younger colleague in late 2003, he swore up and down that Obama would run for and win the presidency....I didn't believe him!
  • !
I think conservatism makes a big rebound in 2016. Like you said, it's a long ways away. That gives barack enough time to goof enough things up to have people ready for a real leader.

@Neo_NtheMatrix Thanks Neo - that was the funniest thing I've read all day. The only way it could have been funnier is if you added the phrase "like Jeb Bush" to the end of the last sentence.
  • !
@PNWest - How about Rubio, Jindall, Cruz, Ryan, Santorum, or Paul? All fine upstanding, qualified, capable and ready to lead. Could you see any of them becoming president? I can.
  • !
@Neo_NtheMatrix Rubio, Jindall, Cruz, Ryan, Santorum, or Paul? You're killing me Neo. How about Curly, Larry, Moe or Shemp? In all seriousness - no I can't see any of them actually winning. Rubio probably has the best chance of the lot but the dems will go after him for lies about his background. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2011/10/24/marco... Actually his primary opponents will do the dirty work for them. Jindal is too easy to make fun of, Cruz is a loose cannon and will be thought of as a male version of Michelle Bachman by 2016, Ryan wanted to kill Medicare, Santorum is to much of a religious nut and Paul is just Kooky like his dad. None of them can win in my opinion. You guys hate Chris Christie and Colin Powell but guys like that would be your best bet.

I don't see that she has much to offer other than an appeal to the cult of personality. If she runs for President, then Republicans have a better chance to win the White House.
  • !
I would rather see Bob Kerrey run for the Democratic party: former Senator, Governor, university president, SEAL Vietnam veteran and Medal of Honor winner who got swift-boated in the 1992 Presidential election with accusations of being a war criminal.

"All these numbers are from Public Policy Polling, an allegedly leftist polling outfit. But PPP follows approved polling methods and correctly predicted many of the 2012 elections, so the Hillary stats are probably quite reliable."

Translation from Politixese - Oh yeah we, uh er, the poll isn't biased at all (wink wink). Yes it' a leftist organization, but the polls are PROBABLY quite reliable (wink wink). Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...

They won't...wonder if she's winking or if it's her eye problem. I doubt she'll pass a
health exam, I mean with all her medical problems and she looks terrible...
  • !
@mimi57 not to mention she's been wearing coke bottles on her eyes lately instead of drinking from them!! That was really bad right? Guess you can tell I'm not a fan!!
  • !
@MissMostly Nope, not a fan either. She's quite a traveler though, I'll give her that.
I just don't know what she's accomplished! LOL
  • !
    @mimi57 She has 3 + years to hang out at the fat farm with a couple weeks off to go for a pelosi strech & mold>>..:}
  • !
@marine1 LOL...if this winter doesn't end soon, I may have to find a fat farm around here. Ugh...Feb., I hate it !!!

Objectively I don't think Rand Paul has distanced himself from his father. Plus she has had a ton of coverage. First Lady, senator and Sec of State. More people know who she is.

im really questioning the validity of bullshit topics on this site.If i wanted mainstream biased liberal obama bullshit id just turn the tv on.simply a disgusting farce and outright lie.Clinton couldn't beat the gop in their stomping grounds if she was giving away what got Bill booted out of office especially after covering for obama in the benghazi coverup .
  • !
Bill never got booted out of office. He was re-elected, just like obama. In what alternate reality did he get booted out of office. Where can I buy that tea you guys drink? Must be powerful stuff!

I think her and Bill have every intention of running.
I also think a butt load of southern folks will vote for her.
It's a good idea to run for her, following 8 years of this Obama, she couldn't do worse.
  • !
I wouldn't put my foot in my mouth 2 soon. I still do get whats good about her. My opinion I think all her medical problems where made up... just my 2 cents.
  • !
@Food4thoughts where & when did Christie get brought in2 this... I never said anything about him ever in any of my posts on Topix.
But your right about him & his health.. since you brought some1 else up.

I have a interest in how marco rubio turns out.

One thing I do know, if Hillary gets elected, we will stay stagnated with high unemployment and future bankruptcy and the mentality of people who vote for Liberals will still be saying it is Bush's fault and the Rich people's fault. The reason that Liberals could care less if we have high unemployment is because their voting block(those living off the backs of tax payers) don't need jobs. Their livelihood is going down to the Department of social services and picking up the tax payer's money.

Hillary Clinton is indeed a vile progressive and believes she knows whats best for everyone.
I wouldnt ever vote for anyone like that.
She is the kind of person along with that Obama , That our founders warned us about.
  • !
Do you know obama, being black and hillary, being a woman were not constitutionally permitted to run for office? Yet you think the founders warned us about people like her? What was it they said, exactly?

If Americans stay totally self consumed and elect Hillary she will have attained her goal of riding the coat tails of a womanizing husband, staying with him for the good of her political future, not being concerned about doing the right thing and dumping the loser.
  • !
Hilary Clinton is a right winger. She appeals to people in Texas, Kentucky, West Virginia, etc. She will win in 2016, however progressives like myself will once again be disappointed by another right wing Democratic in the white house.
  • !
I think everybody that runs for president should complete at least basic trainning. Give them just a touch of what military life is like .
  • !
More evidence that the ultraconservative neocon tea partiers are on the way out.

Even Texans are starting to figure out how things work, or don't.
  • !
couldn't we please wait for a couple of years before we start up with all this campaign bullshit again? jumpin' jesus on a pogo stick. aren't you folks sick of it yet? not only that, but from what i've seen, the folks who talk about it the most know the least, anyway.
