Hillary Polls Ahead of GOP in Texas and Kentucky

She beats Rand Paul on his home turf

Word on the street - if not in the State Department - is that Hillary Clinton will run for president in 2016. And if she does, she'll leave other currently-available GOP candidates in the dust - even in Republican strongholds like Texas and Kentucky. In the Bluegrass state, she outflanks Senator Rand Paul on his own stomping grounds.

All these numbers are from Public Policy Polling, an allegedly leftist polling outfit. But PPP follows approved polling methods and correctly predicted many of the 2012 elections, so the Hillary stats are probably quite reliable.

Why is Hillary polling so well in the Red South? Partly because she brings Democrats the one thing they currently don't have, vote-wise: the white working class, or what The Daily Beast's Lloyd Green calls "beer-track voters." Those voters have been leaving the Democratic party in droves since the 1960s. Bill Clinton helped bring them back, Green claims, with his pro-market approach and disdain for identity politics, and Hillary would be more of the same.

But is she actually going to run? Evidence is mixed. She's said she won't; but she's done nothing to discourage various SuperPACs being set up in her name, such as "Ready for Hillary" and the "Hillary Clinton SuperPAC."

I would love to see Hillary run and win the Presidency in 2016. She is by far and away the most qualified of all of the people mentioned as possible candidates. I wonder where the conservatives will threaten to move to if she gets elected?

I agree. Personally, I want to see Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson as her running mate, as he would be HUGE for education and science progress. Plus, he'd bring in the black vote, which usually entails a large portion of the Latino vote following the black. He'd bring in the centrists and independents in his avid wish for spending and spending habits based on common sense and actual needs, rather than lasting knee-jerk reactions (see his views on how NASA should be funded, for example). He could possibly attract /true/ Republicans with the fact that though he would lobby for social programs, that they would need to actually work, rather than 'appear to work.' Couple all that with the older white folks and the women that Hillary would bring in in droves, not to mention youth who would get just as fired up for her as they did for the 'first African-American president,' and you'd win for sure.

But then again, I'm one for pipe dreams. But a guy can hope, can't he?

Jindal is too easy to make fun of, Cruz is a loose cannon and will be thought of as a male version of Michelle Bachman by 2016, Ryan wanted to kill Medicare, Santorum is to much of a religious nut and Paul is just Kooky like his dad. None of them can win in my opinion. You guys hate Chris Christie and Colin Powell but guys like that would be your best bet.

One thing I do know, if Hillary gets elected, we will stay stagnated with high unemployment and future bankruptcy and the mentality of people who vote for Liberals will still be saying it is Bush's fault and the Rich people's fault. The reason that Liberals could care less if we have high unemployment is because their voting block(those living off the backs of tax payers) don't need jobs. Their livelihood is going down to the Department of social services and picking up the tax payer's money.
