For the same reason I don't put a University of Michigan sticker on my car in the state of Ohio, I wouldn't put a political sticker on there. I value my personal property too much to turn it into a vandalism target.

After being so disappointed by my choice to trust Obama in '08 I was careful to put my Romney sticker on my old SUV ..........but, the Hate from the Obama Leftwing Bullys and their Union Gangsters is legendary in the failed Blue States like mine so I was wise enough to keep my SL500 coupe "sticker free".

I don't hate them, and I respect people who do have them. They're very brave. In these types of forums I can't tell you the number of times I have read posts from people who threaten to key cars from front to back if they see certain bumper stickers. In places like Miami, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, it happens quite often. I like my classic 30 year old car, and I'd like to keep it looking as new as possible for as long as possible, lol. The same thing happens to homes as well that display yard signs (vandalized).

I have never put a political bumper sticker on my car, however I have thought about slapping my "Don't tread on me" and "Lifetime NRA member" sticker on the caboose of my socially incorrect, gas guzzling, bff, suv. Then I think about when I pull in to fill that bad-boy up with gas and see Obama "hope" stickers on cars side by the other and feel a bit annoyed, somewhat provoked, and not too impressed. I drive away wondering "WHY"? Why do they actually put that crap on their cars?!?! Then I remember...... it IS to annoy and provoke people like me. It feels silly to think less of people by what I read on their vehicles, but the fact is....sometimes I DO. I feel connected...

While I accept that people put political bumper stickers on their cars, especially during campaign years, I will personally never use one. Aside from being the obvious pain to remove from your vehicle, they make your vehicle an easy target for your opposition. Plus, don't you feel dumb if the guy who's sticker is on your car loses and your stuck with it for a few years afterward?

I like seeing some of the stickers I do, but will never put one on my own car for three reasons. 1) they fade and look like crap after a while 2) they're a b*+** to remove and you can damage your paint job if you're not careful 3) you have to worry about people that don't agree with your opinion messing up your vehicle. Keying a car only takes seconds and finding the person is next to impossible but will cost you hundreds to get fixed in the shop.

I did until 2008. but then a funny thing happened. the old Bama zombies who grow up thinking the world owes them something removed my political bumper sticker while I was parked in a low information voter area. because they don't believe anyone else has any rights, well at least not equivalent to their special rights. Of course now that we know what Obama is all about, racial economic and social divisions and strife, it's just not worth it anymore it's almost dangerous.... well it certainly would be for anyone caught removing a bumper sticker from my car
