Absolutely. yeah they were a little upset because Obama looked like a complete fool .
And it was a brilliant speech , and it is no surprise that it did not resonate with the Morons who frequent YouTube.

    :-o
  • !
@martydotcom your point is? Nobody asked how many people saw it. There are more than a thousand people talking about it.
  • !
@bsking See, it's kind of a silly thing to call other people morons when you don't even know that the word shouldn't be capitalized in a sentence. Hoists you on your on petard.
  • !
@Zazziness good for you.. anything but talk about how Obama looked like a freaking moron right ;-O

the look on Obama's face is priceless, that is the look of someone who's getting his ass kicked at the National Prayer Breakfast , hilarious.

Most of the conservatives prefer the Old Testament. How Jesus actually led his life working among the poor and the oppressed doesn't appeal to them as much as going all Leviticus on people they don't agree with.
  • !
@PNWest Yup. That's how they miss that Jesus was a radical liberal. "Feed the hungry. Shelter the stranger. Visit the prisoner." Most conservatives also don't realize that after Jesus was gone, the early Christians were communists, selling all that they had, living in a group and allowing the apostles to hand out resources as they were needed. But they'd have to read Acts to know that and, as you say, Acts isn't nearly as exciting as the smitings of the Old Testament.

Ben Carson is a Seventh Day Adventist and one of the best if NOT the best nuerosurgeon....schooled from Loma Linda University....to even disrespect him by trying to tear this man of God and incredible medical and scientific mind because you disagree with him politically is progressive liberal tolerance at its best....

Don't know about President Hussein Obama being upstaged but certainly the progressive liberal agenda was upstaged....and in a polite Godly manner....

@Medicinebow Yeah, and the punch line was something like "Who'd've thought being a community organizer was excellent preparation for winning elections?" ;)
  • !
So being a doctor who helps children is something to be vilified now? Doctors are more qualified than most to understand the challenges of Obamacare and the issues associated with its implementation. Insulting someone's profession because you disagree with them is cowardly and you should be ashamed of yourself. And when the profession requires a bare minimum of 10 years of training, certification, etc. it's even more laughable that someone such as yourself would attack him.

@KickBrass I'm quite familiar with the requirements for neurosurgery and the well-deserved reputation Dr Carson has for it. However, his speech had nothing to do with surgery and everything to do with mixing politics and religion, and that's fair game no matter who does it.

People also have the right to not listen to it if they desire. Just like those that complain about tv's programming and they hold the O-F-F button on the remote.

@Medicinebow @RiversideRed Prayer functions in the government is a direct violation of the Constitution concerning separation of Church and state. This doctor used a religious gathers to espouse his political beliefs. That is NOT separation of church and state. Whether I agree with the doctor or not is another issue. But I will not discuss what he said when he says it under cover of mixing religion and govt. That's illegal.
  • !
@jessejaymes Sorry but you're wrong....read the amendment....congress shall make no law for or against religion in order to establish one religion over another....a prayer breakfast is NOT congress making a law for or against....events like this have happened since the beginning of this country....

Basically our founders did not want the federal government to establish either a Roman Catholic Church or the Church Of England which ruled/rules their countries.....
  • !
@Knightmare So you'd be good with a Muslim religious leader praying at the breakfast? Since it doesn't establish a state religion to do so?

Your reply,"A prayer breakfast is no place to use the bible for a political bat....Prayer is the key word..." The liberals like to hammer home the phrase,"Separation of Church and State," every time there is a vestige of the Christian religion displayed in public, be it in the pubic square, the public schools or along the nations highways and of course the liberals are very sensitive about politicians promoting a political agenda behind the vail of religion in churches, that is, unless it is a liberal democrat using the church pulpits to promote themselves and their ideologies then to involve a religious setting is deemed ok, and quite appropriate.
This smacks of hypocrisy, a double standard,if you will, used by the liberals to berate and silence anyone who would be brazen enough to openly speak their thoughts that were different than theirs in front of them.... and do it in a religious setting.... how dare this conservative doctor do like the democrats do all the time.
  • !
@Knightmare They've been trying to shut down Rush Limbaugh and other conservatives for years. If you agree with Dear Leader then you can talk all you want.
  • !
@OhWiseOne Rush Limbaugh is not a conservative. Rush is an entertainer or so he claims. The GOP is, BTW, trying to get away from his fan base.

That is correct. Furthermore, this annual event is hosted by members of congress, and I seriously doubt that they are footing the bill out of their own pockets, so you and I and all taxpayers get to pay for this every year. That isn't skirting anything, that's violating the separation of church and state, quite blatantly.
  • !
I love Jesus' sermon when he talks about free markets and how the poor need to have skin in the game. Favorite part of the bible.
  • !
@Denizen_Kate No it doesn't. Separation of church and state simply means that Congress cannot have a national religion. Have you ever even tried understanding the second amendment?
  • !
@RiversideRed - Have you? It means that the government cannot infringe upon individual religious beliefs, but it also means that government cannot sponsor any religion. Paying for such an event with taxpayer dollars is unconstitutional. Period.
  • !
@Denizen_Kate Then its also not right, and a government infringment on Catholic and protestents beliefs to take their tax dollars and use that money to pay planned Parent Hood to preform abortions which is against their religious teachings.
It doesn't say in the constitution that government is to act in a hostile way towards those who hold religious beliefs or to act in a belligerent manner by forcing/ using tax money of those people, for abortions who's religious tenets decree that abortions are wrong.
  • !
Okay I get what your imaginary friend has to do with this and why you think it is a win. Not really sure what the other imaginary being has to do with anything.
  • !
    @Denizen_Kate
I know but I'm sure he knows that god is a title applied to millions of imaginary supernatural beings. When a guy named "Mad American" says god I assume he is referring to Yahweh. Or money as that is most people's true god.

Ben Carson up stages Obama by simply being in the same room without having to say a word! By speaking he just put icing on the cake! I heard the speech, he had some really good ideas!
  • !
Did you see Obama's stupid face? LOL
    .
We should have made Dr. Carson our first black president instead of that overrated, stupid. numbskull, Obama.
    .
He made a monkey out of Obama right to his face. It was unforgettable and funny.
    .
Like Benghazi is unforgettable but in a very sad way.
  • !
The fascinating thing? An intelligent, talented, individual, Godly, CONSERVATIVE African-American....the progressive liberal camp just can't fathom this....everything they were taught to abhor and/or exploit and manipulate....
  • !
Do you have any idea what Dr. Carson's mother and himself went through in order for the Dr. to be who he is? I'll tell you this much, there was no government intervention!

I loved what he said about political correctness. People should never be afraid to voice their opinion in a free society and PC BS needs to be destroyed. BTW, did you see the look on Obama's face? Dear Leader doesn't like anyone who confronts him with the truth. He's used to getting his butt kissed by the liberal media. Loved it!
  • !
@OhWiseOne No, a person can tell the truth without using racist slurs. Unless, of course, they are a racist and their whole world view revolves around that racism. Then they have problems with being "PC."
