How do you respond except by keeping an ever watchful eye one this country they clearly don't care about sanctions or the UN. Some difficult decisions are in the immediate future for the world governments.
  • !
@Starsplash Yea. The nerve of such countries. One dropped nuclear bombs on two civilian cities in Japan, invaded Vietnam, Panama, Somolia, Iraq wothout provocation, and acts as if it has the moral authority to tell other countries what to do. Thinking they are above other countries...

Who should and shouldnt be allowed to have a nuclear weapon? Is that for the UN/US/NATO or any other outside agency to say? Does every country have the right to even the playing field as far as technological advances or are there certain checks and balances in place for good reason? This question goes for Iran and north Korea. The White House hasnt commented but Russia and China has already condemned the test. Is that because China and Russia/the world isnt ready for nK to be taken seriously as a threat?

As usual, Oweako will lead from behind and cowtow to the UN even though at least one of those warheads has our name on this.

I don't wanr another war, but it's time to shut these nuts down...even if it's with a nuke.

"Who should and shouldnt be allowed to have a nuclear weapon? Is that for the UN/US/NATO or any other outside agency to say?"

It doesn't matter who says what. It's who can do what. Currently, the U.S. has the biggest stick and it's views are parallel with mine. That being, N.Korea (with it's current Government) should never, can never, and will never have nuclear arsenals with all options on the table should they ever reach it.

How should the U.S. respond? Simple deny all aid to North Korea. Blockade their country with the 7th Fleet. Screw listening to the U.N.

Since invading N.Korea would pull their ally China in, starve the living crap out of them.

Ultimately, take them out before they get a chance to become fully operational.

One of the worst ideas ever. How effective was it for the US to try to strong arm and overpower an indigenous people last time we were in that geographic region? And you think making these people even MORE desperate is going to make them less of a threat?
  • !
North Korea doesn't do anything China doesn't want. If we force them into a war be prepared to lose many loved ones here at home (in the states). Your war also might draw Russia and other nations in.
  • !
@VVP No I think that playing push-over doesn't work with these guys. We've given them aid in food and medicine and it's gone directly to it's military. Its average non-military citizens are still starving. Tell me again how aiding them will somehow sooth their obvious hostility to us?

We've played nice with them, offering incentive's to forgo nuclear weaponry and IBCM's. They mocked our gesture by continue trying to build a IBCM but calling it a "satellite". Their nuclear ambitions haven't stopped either. So tell me, how will playing PUSH-OVER deter them achieving nuclear weaponry?

@latinvin I call BS. China wouldn't risk going to war with us over N.Korea. They, along with Russia, will use the U.N. to veto any U.N. sanctioned military actions.

It would be stupid on their part if they tried that.

Simple...Start sanctioning China. If we do anything directly to NK, China will perceive it as a threat and likely retaliate. We know this, China knows this, NK knows this. NK is like Chinas rabid Rottweiler. If they will not keep their pet under control and on its leash its time to punish the owner.

Drop flyers all over the country with pictures of the fat boy wonder Kim Jung Un wearing a dress and picking his nose. Those poor people need to rise up and oust their ruling class. It's pathetic how these people live.

That's the sad part, and one of the catch-22's the world is in. One of the parallels I always draw when people talk about starting a new revolution HERE...is that our first one came when our enemy was weeks/months away by boat with reinforcements. In today's world, unless actual MILITARY elements spontaneously revolted, any true organized resistance would be crushed, and if we fought with the same guerilla tactics used against us, we become no better than those we're fighting now. In countries like China/N. Korea...ESPECIALLY china, there are enough "regular foks" that even if they had no weapons at ALL they could easily overpower/the military government by sheer numbers. My worry is, just like if there were another revolution here...there might not be any rational THINKERS like there were in our first. It will be all about who has the most guns and the most friends to use em deciding who gets to make the decisions, and then we/they are right back where they started.

Do they really care what we think? The elite want most of us dead. They're building bunkers all over the world stocked with non GMO seeds. The true rulers of this world (the banks) wrote too many checks, they can't cash. What's the solution? Kill off as many people as they can. Bad food, poison nuclear waste sold as medicine, constant stress and fear. They want this to happen, they NEED this to happen. They are not smart, they're just gangsters who wrote the laws and set up terrorist organizations to topple their rivals. No American youth should join the military, join a militia and be prepared to protect your own.
They want us scared of bogymen, they should be afraid of us.

shoot down any vehicle coming from north korea that could carry a nuke blockade there harbors prepare for war make china help fight a war aginst north korea if it comes to war
  • !
What the hell is wrong with our government? What the hell is wrong with the U.S. citizens? Those murdering, communist s.o.b. have ALWAYS said they would destroy the United States and are again boasting that the missles they have and the nukes they NOW HAVE are so they can destroy us!! The question is not what we should do or what the free world should do, but the question is 'When do we simply level that bunch of cock roaches'? FOR GOSH SAKES, DONT WAIT UNTILL THEY DO It BECAUSE THEY ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO THINK THEY CAN OWN THE WORLD but melt that island down to the sea!!!!!!! Once again we sit here argueing about if we shoudl legalize hemp and crap like that instead of listening to the very mouths of the enemy and yes I SAID ENEMY!
  • !
Think much? Remember those threats came AFTER we invaded their country when they had done absolutely nothing to us. What exactly would you expect our country to do if Turkey came halfway around the world and invaded the US in order to defend the Mexicans coming across our border? Would you not think we would try to develop weapons to defend ourselves from that happening a second time? And kudos for taking South Korea out with your attack.
  • !
@PoliticalSpice Agreed. It's really pretty simple thing to understand that almost anyone can relate to. If someone actually harms you for no reason, retreats but remains outside your door to threaten you again then your natural instinct is to prepare for the possibility they may come back. That should be crystal clear even if your smoking low end seed infested bud.
  • !
@Buzzfriendly Especially after they start raving the you and two others are evil, and then you watch then kick the door into on of the other "evil" homes, kill all the residents, and leave the home in shambles... Then you think, ut oh, time to get some new shells for the shot gun...

What I find extremely funny is all the calls for war! Are these the same people that screamed about "Bush's" wars in Iraq and Afgan? What is the answer......I don't know! But, starting a war, which might (or might not) involve China is just asking for WW3. And that'll be the war nobody wins!
  • !
These are the same people calling for Iraq and Afghanistan invasions. People who don't understand the history of the areas and why it's not a great foreign policy to keep invading other countries.
  • !
"China, which has shown signs of increasing exasperation with its neighbor, repeated calls for the "denuclearization" of the Korean peninsula" "We strongly urge North Korea to abide by its non-nuclear commitment and not to take any further actions that would worsen the situation", it said in a statement."

I think China doesn't want a war. It already "owns" the US in many ways and would rather have it's prize (the US) in one piece.
  • !
@stepped_in_it Well North Korea is not listening and China might get a little more pro-active about it if we start defaulting on our debt to them, correction, withholding. Unfortunately, you're right, China does own us, this country has gone down the crapper!
  • !
@stepped_in_it China doesn't 'own' us... They hold 8% of our debt. If the US were a company they wouldn't even be in the board room.
  • !
Now that I can get into. I know cutting all "aid" to foreign countries is not a big part of our countries budget, but, I won't/don't buy my friends. Neither should America. I've heard the term "humanitary aid" for these countries. That can happen in the form of actual aid supplies, not money, which can be handed directly to the "needy".
  • !
@stepped_in_it - I still believe we need to stop giving anything - money or aid to countries for any purpose - Except our Allies. Just look at the long list of countries that sent aid to America for hurricane Sandy -(1) Israel & that's it .
