@Zazziness This sounds like the guy read this web site, collected all the right wing talking points, and put them all into one article. Nothing original. Nothing intelligent. I suspect the 60% on here who favor this nonesense will love it. I know the people who use their brain will not. If they are gonna have a conservative pundit at least give me someone who makes me think. A george wills or peggy noonan, no a dimwit who has the intellectual depth of ann coulter...

That's the best you can do? Call names, with no substance? Not surprising at all from a liberal commie. Why don't you move to a nice communist country?
  • !
    @USAFanDan
Ah. The classic Republifascist comeback of "If you don't have the same vision of America you don't love America. Love it or leave it."

No thanks I will stay and continue to try and improve this country

Wow the Politix has become a Tea Bag site. I would say any future discourse here would be little more than mental masturbation and that ceased to fun a long time ago.
Did Rupert Murdock buy this site?

Lol... While the ''actual'' marine that pulled the trigger cant even get a pension. They killed bin ladens neighbor. Obama is Osama!!!

On one hand Obama is doing nothing about the threat from Al Qaeda (according to this writer) and on the other hand he is a war criminal for ordering drone strikes against Al Qaeda operatives and the "innocents" that they surround themselves with (according to others). Some people want to have their snake and beat it too.

Oh yeah, nice "photo-journalism". Take a picture of a man giving a speech from just the right angle, blur the light between his hands and voilà! You make him look like he is pretending to be a wizard gazing into a crystal ball!
  • !
!st....snake and beat it too......roflmao. 2nd....photo shopping not illegal (last weeks article) unless something "dirty" is photo shopped (and crystal balls isn't "dirty"....I think)

@stepped_in_it I think its kinda a cool looking picture. The author's intent with it is stupid, but the picture itself is cool looking. I love spatial pictures like this one.
  • !
@Dan_Tien I don't think it's any worse than the photos that Politix gets for most of its stories, that, captured from a series of action shots, make the subjects look insane...just about anyone is gonna look like a moron if a still photo of them is taken talking, squinting in the light, at a different angle than the camera...etc.

I would guess Mr Hoagland is striving to collect a few more donors to his little SuperPAC. He spent about $1.7 million last year all in an effort to defeat the incumbent President, and as of 12/31/12 only had a bit more than $100,000 in the PAC account. http://goo.gl/69SOT

Fortunately, now that he's no longer supporting Lance Armstrong ( http://goo.gl/XMa5o ) he won't have that expense and perhaps he can rely on his pal Mike Huckabee for some extra TV face time.( http://goo.gl/SgoQK ) And I don't even want to think what might have happened if Mr Hoagland had hung out with his former crew at the State Affairs Company after a couple of his bosses got out of jail.( http://goo.gl/87uh5 )

    Every little bit helps.

This story is complete nonsense except for one thing, I do agree the media avoids covering SOME serious issues, however, this isnt one of them. I checked out his website- pure BS and propaganda.

You know it accrues to me that perhaps thousands of Americans donated that money in hopes of fixing this defunct government of ours. And thousands more donated hundreds of millions more to other career politicians promising that they would work hard to fix, change, reform or in other words make life better for all. Lies, lies and more lies. Thousands of people ripped off or conned by nothing more than flim flam con-artist. I really don't see the humor in it. I realize that your as rank and file partisan as they come. But really, is a scam of this magnitude something to beat your chest about.
  • !
@FollowTheMoney The big SuperPACs spend over 1/2 a billion dollars trying to get republicans elected. Why did they do that? Because they love America? No - they did it because of what the GOP would have done for them. Yes both sides are corrupt but at least the dems are corrupt more often in ways that benefit the little guy instead of the billionaires and CEOs. Follopw the money indeed - see where the donations came from. See which side got most of the $20 and $50 donations and which side had billionaires dropping millions at a time.

@PNWest Sure, both parties have their target demographic. They manufacture their products to appeal to what they feel is most lucrative. Their products are not developed or designed for the good of the people. They are designed to perpetuate their careers. There will always be people that want more than they deserve or is rightfully their's. This what the professional politician thrives on, the greed or selfishness of their constituency. The Dems know best how to manipulate the little guys, where the Reps like to work on the big guys. The little guy on the left happens to respond more to social issues and entitlements, the guy on the right responds more to fiscal issues. The point is, we are all being played. Nothing will ever improve until we the people stop plying their game and make it ours once again.
  • !
@FollowTheMoney Good post - how do you propose that we the people make significant change? Loving for the green party or libertarians is a wasted vote - they have zero chance of winning.
  • !
@PNWest Man, I wish I had a definitive answer as to how to go about effecting significant change. But I for one have stopped supporting any parties and stopped making campaign contributions. I no longer vote for an incumbent past their second term, regardless of party affiliation or political ideology. You see, I believe the only way to affect real change is to take the profit out of being a politician. With that primary motivator gone, The politician will be more apt to do what's good for the people and the country, instead of constantly worrying about his/her political career. I know that I will never be happy about all the laws or the decisions made by our leadership. but if I believe the law was passed or the decision made with the good of the country in mind, I will accept it.

I find it funny when they get a liberal commenter to make an article they jump and down singing his praises, regardless of the lies and deception. But when it is someone from the right they come in mouths foaming to discredit anything he says with comments like republifascits and do not provide any proof to counter anything said other then "Lol Republic Lol".

Thankfully that wait staffer at the Romney fundraiser has an unlimited data plan! His poorly filmed video of Romney's 47% comments certainly beat your $1.8Million in negative ads. The country is better off because of it. And speaking of the country being better off. We'd all be better off if secretive Super-Pacs like Restore America's Voice from both sides of the aisle were illegal.
  • !
Funny you should mention Mr Romney's "47%" comment. Mr Hoagland did a review of the inaugural address and make this truly astonishing statement, "(President Obama) essentially told America that he holds nearly half of the nation’s citizens in utter contempt. Such arrogance is not leadership; it is so short-sighted as to be destructive." http://goo.gl/Qea0q

I wonder if he shared that sentiment with Mr Romney?
  • !
Wow, an article from a Conservative viewpoint (whether you agree with it or not) and all of a sudden all the "progressives" are about to have aneurisms up in here. Relax people, its just one article! There will probably be some far-left articles that you love coming up soon. Its called balance - some from the left, some from the right.
  • !
That's like saying to teach "balanced" science we have to have a little astronomy and a little astrology. Pffft, say I. Reality has a liberal bias.
  • !
I agree with most of what he said but I'll bet he thinks Iran is the biggest threat to America's security. SMH. America will never be defeated by a foreign nation. No. She will crumble from within. Multiculturalism, lack of morals and values, apathy. This is what will doom America.
  • !
If by "multiculturalism," you mean "America has people who aren't white and we're letting them be equals," too bad. Far from a weakness, our diversity is a direct result of our freedom and it's our greatest strength.
  • !
@Zazziness Nope. That diversity is our greatest strength BS is the biggest lie ever sold. We have many of our problems because of multiculturalism. Angela Merkel and Nicholas Sarkozy are 2 world leaders who have openly said multiculturalism is a failure. More and more people are seeing it every day.

@OhWiseOne So what are your recommendations? Renounce everybody's citizenship that does not meet your standard of being an American citizen? Only allow your interpretation of a immigrant? Seems like we tried that in the past and it did not work.
  • !
@Roco OhWiseOne has made its desires pretty clear: form an all-white nation. Which is funny because in my book, we'd be better off if we just deported anyone who thinks like OhWiseOne. It would be hard to find a place that would take folks like that, though.

It's about time Politix puts up an article with the truth about what is actually going on. I know the liberals are pouncing all over this article, but they can spew all they want. They can't take it when a reality check causes them discomfort because they want to believe Obama and turn a blind eye to what is actually happening. How dare someone writes something they disagree with. They are too used to liberal media catering to them. The old saying fits here "The truth hurts." Maybe someone will learn something or be spurred to investigate what was written for themselves. Conservatives have had to do this, it's the liberals turn. I have been saying this all along, but was pounced on and bashed by liberals. Well, just let them do it. As scary as this is, it's like a breath of fresh air to finally see the truth on Politix written in a column that they put up for discussion! Not just articles written to coddle the liberals.

If we had been given one united answer, the tragedy in Bengazi might have gone away, instead everybody put before the cameras gave a different scenario. Now the answers, which are still incomplete, show incompetence if not a total disregard for our diplomatic staff because election was the utmost goal. President Obama better get to work on something besides increasing the welfare/food stamp roles or this will be his legacy. Dragon Slayer, Don Quixote, whatever!
