u 2 hr acg v No, I wouldn't While it could find people with drugs it also takes away from class time Post
u May 17 Nemesis3X v No, I wouldn't Absolutely not. There has to be probable cause! That and I wouldn't trust the "randomness." Post
May 15 NoAmnestyEVER v No, I wouldn't Random drug testing is an invasion of privacy, clearly a violation of Constitutional rights unless done so with probable cause. But I would definitely support random immigration checks on the illegal alien students who cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Post
May 14 InjusticeSucks v No, I wouldn't When all Member of Congress have Mandatory Drug Test then i may agree to kids in Schools Post
May 8 whatheheck v No, I wouldn't I will support that right after random mandatory drug testing is made a requirement for EVERY federal employee, from Obonzo on down. And if found to be drugged, they lose their job IMMEDIATELY, just like anyone in the private sector would. r3 replies Post
u May 6 SicNTired v No, I wouldn't No. It just seems like a violation of a child's rights. The government should be spending money to end violence and stop focusing on the drug issue. r1 reply Post

u May 5 URBS v No, I wouldn't In what possible stretch of the Constitution can anyone find to allow this? Post

u May 16 oldsolder It already is mandatory and a condition of employment, guess you are going to have to change your answer. I've been a federal employee for over 26 years and for as long as I can remember I and all of the people I work with have been drug tested on a regular basis, it is also a requirement for President Obama. Post @oldsolder
May 16 whatheheck @oldsolder But I'll just bet that the buttheads in congress are magically exempt. Post @whatheheck
u May 16 oldsolder @whatheheck Nope, any federal or state employee is subject to random drug testing. Post @oldsolder

u May 16 oldsolder Other than religion, what do you think is one of the leading causes of violent crime? Childs rights? good one. Post @oldsolder

May 2 JTHEM v Yes, I would I would be hesitant to send students to the slammer. I would offer alternative behavior modification with CPS supervision. Post
u Apr 30 bleakoutlook v No, I wouldn't There really is no point. Kids are going to experiment. Most grow out of it quick. Busting a kid on drugs gives them a high itself, and attention which would no doubt make them seriously contemplate trying it again. Unless the kid is completely out of control on drugs, there is no reason for drug screenings. Post
u Apr 28 commonsense51 v Yes, I would I support mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients but Democrats refuse to hold people responsible for their actions. I would support school testing only for those kids who are suspected of drug use. Post
u Apr 28 jond414 v Yes, I would Along with testing on wall street, in congress, and at all gun shows! Post
Apr 26 LonePalm v No, I wouldn't Random for the kids. Mandatory and 100% for the teachers and administrators. Post
u Apr 25 Litdes v No, I wouldn't What would be the point? The expense, I can see. The point, not so much. Post
u Apr 22 PatrickVonRoch v No, I wouldn't No, because according to several sources(NY Times, drugabuse.gov, FOX News, US Department of Health & Human Services, Washington Times, etc), about 40-50% would fail. And, what would the consequence be for positive test results? Post
Apr 22 Jlope v No, I wouldn't Tired of old conservatives thinking they have a right to dictate people enjoying their lives! Stop worrying about people doing normal things and having fun, and start worrying about fixing the economy y'all f***d up! Post
Apr '13 DanielZ v No, I wouldn't Random testing would violate the Constitutional guarantee against unreasonable search and seizure. It would also probably not really get applied randomly; an element of profiling would likely creep in. Post
Apr '13 DiverBoone v No, I wouldn't Not to mention the violation of the 4th Amend, we would be stigmatizing and stereotyping our youth when we as a society are unable to teach the truth about drugs of abuse as it is. The average American knows little more than the media hype that is presented to us. When in fact if you refer to the fact based scientific studies, 90% of the information in mainstream media is false, to out right lies. r1 reply Post
Apr 22 Jlope It's called media consolidation, and it's due to deregulation (which is the opposite of socialism if you listen to the media). A pretty good system they got there which relies on the idiocy and stubbornness of most people. Post @Jlope
Mar '13 DerivePI v No, I wouldn't "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized" - Instead, all students should be forced to memorize the Constitution. e63 endorsed Post
Mar '13 NormalFlora v Yes, I would It could be the only way to detect drug abuse and change a life before it's too late. r5 replies e18 endorsed Post
u Mar '13 anc713 v No, I wouldn't Why should we let our kids be drug tested when they won't even drug test their teachers? e10 endorsed Post
Mar '13 Your_Name_Here v Yes, I would For teachers and administrative staff, right? Yeah, I sure would support that. For students... if there is probable cause to suspect someone of using drugs. On the other hand, implementing thought police would open up a lot of new jobs. How about if schools start teaching instead of figuring out how to get the least amount of hours of education into a school year. Hint: go to Japan or China and you can see how it is accomplished. e9 endorsed Post
Mar '13 stepped_in_it v No, I wouldn't Nope....but I would random, mandatory drug testing for WELFARE/FOODSTAMP collectors..... B1 e5 endorsed Post
Mar '13 Ironicguy v Yes, I would When I went to school like everybody did ecstasy and coke. If we would've gotten drug tested it could've prevented all those kids from becoming addicts. r4 replies e5 endorsed Post
u Mar '13 ErnestPayne v No, I wouldn't Drugs in school testing, guns in school, etc. How about spending your money on education. e5 endorsed Post
Mar '13 Woody20164 v No, I wouldn't To what end? The government is too intrusive already. Another dumb, vague question. e3 endorsed Post
Mar '13 Mike_Monacelli v No, I wouldn't Haven't we figured out yet that the war on drugs has failed horribly? Not to mention it'd cost us billions to fund nationwide drug testing in public schools; money that otherwise could find education. e3 endorsed Post
Mar '13 PayThatCEO @MrGreenHerb Going to school isn't a job? Pray tell, what is it? Yes, it IS a job. It is a kid's JOB to go to school and learn the skills to be a self-sufficient person in this world. School has become every kid's Disney World. It's amazing to me how we have all these problems in our country, yet when an idea comes along that just might help we go into a tailspin and scream about rights. If we can save one kid from a life of drug and alcohol abuse, if we save one kid from an unproductive future then drug testing is worth it. B2 Post @PayThatCEO
