Sarah Palin hasn't been on the government payroll since quitting the Alaska governorship nearly four years ago. Since then she's been a reality show star, book author and engaged in other commercial ventures that at least aimed to promote her conservative political beliefs.

Now the 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee is cashing in for her family - literally. She recently showed up at husband Todd Palin's snowmobile race in clothing promoting Ski-Doo, one of his sponsors, reports Alaska Dispatch.

Corporate sponsorship has been a thorny issue for Palin in the past. Shortly before Palin left the governorship an ethics complaint was filed against her for sporting Arctic Cat logo-wear at a race in which Todd was racing Arctic Cat snow machines. The charge was dismissed. But not before the then-governor shot back with the suggestion she was only wearing the jacket to stay warm.

The move comes as Palin tries to reemerge on the national political stage. She'll speak in March at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

@marine1 you think I think she is more sucesful then then me. At what. She quit her job as govenor during an ethics investigation, lost her race for vice president, became a national joke, was fired from job at fox and where advertizing. I assure you I am not jealous or resentful; I just detest her for what she has done to national dialoge, although I am thankful to her tea party politis which indirectly lef to obamas re-election. Indeed, to show I have no ill will toward her, I promise to be very supportive of her suceeding if she seeks the republican presidential nomination in 2016.

If people are dumb enough to give that woman money then she is a public figure and subject to laughter. I made fun of John Kerry's long horseface all the years he was sticking it out front. I think the many is a spoiled rich brat. I don't pick on people out of politics for their politics. I pick on people for acting and looking funny. So what. Obama's new attitude of my way or the highway helps no one! If congress does come up with a bill and both the House and Senate pass it, will Obama sign it if it's not exactly what he wants?
