    I would say that many people want to be taken care of from 'Cradle to Grave'. You
    can not be taken care of by the government and still have Liberty and freedom or
    justice..It can't be done. And we are starting to see just how much, it 'can't be done'.

    @mimi57 just like I heard today. Small business owners have jobs to hire for, but there seems to be no one want the jobs. With so many out of work they would rather do nothing and except what is given to them.
    This is the attitude of the new America?

    @PuroChorizo361,
    Presumably, you "think you're normal". So, you know what that makes you - by your own definition. I guess you didn't think that one through - did you? But then, not everyone is capable of "thinking".

    Let me guess, politicians are exempt from this too? The furthest a police officer will get at my home is outside the front door. If they want a warrant, they can go get it. No stupid liberal law will suffice. I think there is something deeper here and I think "they" want police to be knocked off so they can make more foolish laws and I really don't blame the people for ridding us of men hiding behind a badge just so they can control another person; the police that conduct these tests must not have a lot to live for.

    And I have been called every name in the book for telling people it's coming. Yea I'm a raving mad man or a crazy man.
    Except just like I said, they take a little more, just a little at a time, they do it all in the name of human health and safety.
    illegal search and seizure is only illegal till they make it legal, through something like this.

    (Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing)

    @Thegrif That's exactly how it's done,you will never convince those who are blind
    though. They can't see it, or live in a perpetual state of denial. I can't understand that!

    What this was about was a trial balloon by the liberal in a state that they considered to be "ultra liberal" because the state just legalized pot. This is how both the left and right sell America short. They think because the people of a state does something extreme to one side or the other that those people will line up like little ducks and follow the big mama Dem or GOP duck right down the line. And some will. But most won't. Americans are not baby ducks despite what both Karl Rove and Obama think. This was yet another overreach just to gauge public response.

    @Keyjo shhhh! Don't tell all the right wing wackos that the provision was dropped. I want to see them all foam at the mouth some more.

    if passed I think this will be a supreme court case for unreasonable search and seizure without a warrant, kind of violates 2 consitutional rights, someone should send this politician to U of W for a little consitutional law.
  • !
    This has ZERO chance of getting past the state courts much less the federal courts. And they know that. What this is, is typical politics. Overreach so far that when they actually do something it seems "reasonable" compared to what they suggested. It's the same tried and true right wing abortion end run manufactured hysteria. Both sides do it.

    You think? We thought Obamacare would get struck down....it didn't....the progressives have the uncanny ability to redefine everything....

    These half wit politicians are going to find out just how many responsible gun owning democrats are out there if they keep jacking around with our gun laws. Responsible people do not need goverment overseeing their every move. Democrats or republicans or any one else for that matter.

    @No_Bama Even if I were, which I'm not, it would be a damn sight tastier, better prepared, and served on better china than anything you've ever eaten in your life.

    @Robbo03712 I honestly dont know what that other poster is even talking about, but my reply popped into my head faster than I could type it. :P

    This coming from the same guy who said Romney would win big and was way ahead in the polls. You obviously don't know the voters of America very well.
  • !
    LOL you have to laugh over the irony! A liberal pot smoking state is a Nazi state! You cant have your pot and smoke it to because the Nazis are watching you, intrudr on you, control you! God help us all because the liberals outweigh normalcy now!
  • !
    See this is why politicians should all be required to grow, sell and smoke pot. If you have something someone is going to find about it and try to take it from you. Why would you legalize pot then take the guns? Nobody will grow pot because only the thugs will have guns then and they will take your pot from you and there goes the tax dollars. Just outright stupidity.
  • !
    @jessejaymes I laughed like hell the other day when some stupid ass tried to explain making drug legal will stop gun violence. Totally stupid! Just a warped rationale to legalize drugs so they can smoke pot, crack, meth legally as if that is ever stopping gun violence, drug related killings...it wont stop any violence in fact it will intensify gun violence...No drug dealer is giving up theit guns...
  • !
    @SignifiedNBlue All gun violence? No. Drug cartel violence? Absolutely. Take away their main source of income and they have nothing left that gives them power or to fight for. Look at the old speak easys from the alcohol prohibition, do you see any left?

    What did you think the next step would be after placing armed guards in every public place... This is just jumping the gun a bit ...wise beyond its years...lol
  • !
    Suggested provision is rather dumb and unpractical however the gun nuts ARE crazy. As dumb as the slot is it still was not coming for anyone's guns it was just inspecting if you were keeping them in the right way.
  • !
    @Waynestew And what do they do when they say your not keeping them in right way? And who decides what is the right way?
  • !
    @stimpy I would guess like every other situation they will explain to you that this is not how you keep them. Give you the opportunity to correct the situation. And after several reinspections if you did not take "Personal Responsibility" In a manner that protects "we the people" then take your guns because you don't deserve them at that point. Like all other laws pelected lawmakers would decide, however that does not mean people are powerless to stop it if they choose to.

    Not like I said is dumb and unpractical but was absolutely not me to take someone's gun. It was meant to force people to take responsibility for the weapons they own. I really don't see the problem with gun nuts always throw out the "phrase we responsible gun owners"
  • !
    @Waynestew Why does anyone who stands up for what they believe in, is against new gun laws when the ones already there are not being enforced and are only intended to target lawful gun owners, doing nothing to stop the criminals considered gun nuts?

    They sure want people to believe they do, don't they?
    And people are so willing to let them is what blows my mind.

    This is obviously crossing the line of right to privacy and an intrusion on freedom... But to play devil 's advocate I have to have a safety inspection for my car yearly (emissions, turn signals) what's the difference?
  • !
    @Food4thoughts Better answer. Your car interacts with the public on a daily basis and if it's "safety" features are ignored can cause bodily harm. Unless you take your gun out for a ride, using all of it's features and affecting public safety, a "safety" inspection on them would be mute. But, there are some people in this country that I believe require a safety inspection, as, I believe their internal workings are a bit askew!
  • !
    @Food4thoughts
    Devil's advocate to the side...I think I could be in favor of requiring all guns to be stored in a secure location when not carried...whether that be a gun safe , or a lock box or even just a gun lock...

    If you get a chance, look at the billwatchky.gov website and see what types of bills our state has on there. I was certainly pleased with our state officials by what I saw. It made me feel a lot better. I'm happy to live in KY right now for sure.
  • !
    @AnnieO. I looked at that as well and I think most local police and sheriffs would not even attempt such a thing. Most would be on the other side of the fence with the rest of us.
  • !
    And you thought Obama was going to stop with the "assault weapons"? This is the era of big government control people. Don't like it? Stop putting morons like Obama in the white house.
  • !
    Mr. Obama had nothing to do with this. I know understanding government is complicated but just keep repeating to yourself: "The president is not the same as a fairy godmother."
  • !
    @Zazziness The president is an idiot. His ideas are spreading to other morons around the country. The asylum is open and the inmates are trying to take control. Once the Liberals start down the control path, there will be no end.
  • !
    @Zazziness

    Obama is extremely anti gun and anti second amendment. His voting record shows that clearly despite whatever bullshit he says. This is simply more idiots picking up off the momentum Obama, Biden, Feinstien, and all the other idiots have initiated.
  • !
    @John_Matrix They're also picking up the momentum quite a large percent of the country initiated. I know gun "enthusiasts" have a hard time understanding this but telling people you need your gun so you can participate in the inevitable armed rebellion against our own government isn't that persuasive.
  • !
    @Zazziness

    It's quite persuasive for those who have and understanding of history and the means by which tyrants attempt to seize power. These rights we have today are only because people had the will and tenacity to fight for them. Guns are simply tools, nothing more, no matter how anyone tries to spin it. Remove those tools from the governed and there is nothing to stop the end to personal liberty. There are countless examples throughout history of oppression of the vulnerable by governments, even in American history.
