It may not have Super Bowl-level build up and suspense. But it ought to make interesting Sunday morning viewing. Mitt Romney, the losing 2012 Republican presidential candidate, will give his first post-election interview.
Romney will sit down with "FOX News Sunday" next week, host Chris Wallace announced. It's part of a carefully-calibrated reemergence by the former Massachusetts governor.
In mid-March Romney will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference. He's also slowly reemerging on Twitter. After going silent after Election Day, Romney (@MittRomney) recently retweeted a missive from his wife, Ann, announcing the birth of their 20th grandchild.
Still, Romney's Sunday morning appearance might have limited appeal. ".@FoxNewsSunday closes w/ announcement of exclusive intv w/ @MittRomney & Ann Romney. 'Can't wait to set my TiVo!' - Nobody," tweeted Tyrone Gayle (@TyroneGayle), a Democratic U.S. Senate staffer.
