Being one of the 47% that is dependent on government.. social security, medicare, food stamps, housing and medicaid.. yea, I was concerned and wonder for quite some time if I was going to get my monthly check... I did..but I don't appreciate Congress putting us in this situation and I don't like what I am hearing that Obama wants to give SS and Medicare to the Republicans to mess with so they will like him better. Obama , they will never like you.. forget, just represent the People..

So stupid that our legislators cannot come together and work out a budget for the nation.; I'm not concerned about the president and his agenda, the Congress could change the direction of the nation by passing a budget and if the president does not sign it override his veto and pass it with a 2/3 majority of congress. Just get it done and drop the political posturing, take care of business.

This is just going to kill jobs, as a 20 year old I am seeking a high demand job, but because of this much uncertainty its hard to say that you approve of things like this that cut money from people who disparately need it. It is predicted to cost us 750,000 jobs and some people still want more cuts. These republicans who champion them should be thrown out of office.

I'll tell you why. I see a lot of people who can ill afford to be laid off getting furloughed. You can especially see this at the US Armed Forces Commissaries and Base/Post Exchanges, cashiers, stock clerks, etc. being cut way back in their hours. Us retirees are seeing the prices of items such as a small package of nuts go from $2.00 to $2.59 overnight. US Armed Services having to cut back in training. Yet all the while certain high-ranking folks get to play tennis with Tiger Woods, send their families on luxury vacations to the Caribbean or pay over $500,000 for hotel rooms overnight. It's like a flashback to 1780s France under the Court of Louis XVIth!

Gridlock is good! Despite the Dem propaganda, it prevents Washington for growing even faster than usual. Gridlock worked in the '90s, when Newt prevented Hillarycare from passing. That freed up private sector loan money to grow the Information Age. Obamacare passed with one party rule and you can already see its damaging effects on everybody, and it's not fully in force, yet. Luckily sequestration is slowing Washington and allowing private sector to grow jobs again, albeit not like the '90s.

It is a tiny cut that is being used by the president to cause as much trouble as he can by insuring it hurts the most people possible. I am not surprised that such a tiny cut could be made to have disastrous consequences for a chosen part of the population. Obama cannot be bad at everything he does. He has done a good job destroying the county and this is just one more example.

another example of the waste everything and not understand the concept of saving.dems here in my state have done the same thing,never putting anything back for a raining day,spend and waste so much as to even reward those who have no right to be here with tax dollars,my state like the fed gov is broke,time to cut all tax funded programs to other than citizens,we were never supposed to pay anything for them in the first place for starters. then freeze the pay of all involved in wasting.

I couldn't give a big whoop at all to Obama's scare tactics and the fumblings of both parties. Government needs to be CUT in size and spending in REAL WAYS, not this mickey mouse "reduced overspending" of this sequester BS! The government is like a crack addict saying, "I'll get off the pipe if I can just have a little more crack, but I won't get to smoke as much as I would really like before I kick the habit, so don't expect too much from me since I'm not getting as much crack as I'd need to get."

If this the only way to reign in government spending then so be it. It shouldn't be this difficult to get the message to the government. I don't think this was the best way but it was the only way. Even now it isn't an actual spending cut. It only reduced the rate of spending increase.
